OASIS - June 25th Review

Recommended Posts

Formal Night.....

Very nice. Folks seemed to all look fab. There are obvious folks in shorts and beachwear, but didn't see that in the MDR. Actually, there was one table not far from us, sorry to say they were looked at - so if you wear shorts, sneakers, tee shirts, yes you will probably stand out in the MDR on formal night as this was the definite minority.

Most nights everyone looked really nice.

Everything was very good!

Shout out to Jess! Our MDR Bar server. I now have over 50 shot glasses, between Decembers cruise and this one. Friends, you might see them turn up really cheap on ebay! lol

I just showed DH some of your food and he understands why you call it food porn.;);) We will be having roast beef sandwiches shortly after arriving!:):)

Thanks for the great review. I think I followed you on another post a few years ago and you did a wonderful job.

24 of us leave in 68 days (I just like saying and hearing that!) so your review is helping to get us in the mood.

Keep it coming!

We all did the zip line in December, this time we voted to just chill on the beach. We took a "one way" ferry from Oasis over to the Columbus cove area. This was not available when we were on Explorer this past December, we surmise they only use it when Oasis and Allure docks (because of the amount of pax). We tipped ($10.00/ 4 chairs) one of the rci locals who helped us with lounge chairs and finding us an area.

We took the tram back to the pier. We chose not to walk through the markets, so I can’t comment on whether they are aggressive or not. Here are some pictures, (they're not so great, we were moving and I took them with my Olympus indestructible water camera)

This last picture of the enclosed Artisans Market is the market that has set prices, the open air type booths you can haggle.

Back to the ship!

How come I never heard it mentioned….there is an escalator on Oasis. Plus, you “ding” yourself back in. Instead of handing your seapass for them to account for you, you slide it in yourself.

DS and friend, Kaela went back to Flowrider!

Then DH and I went back to the Viking Crown Lounge! It was the perfect time for a chocolate Martini.

Perfect timing on the shot of your son wiping out on the Flowrider! Loving your review :D We'll be on the Oasis in September on the Eastern itinerary, but it's great to see so many shots & info about the ship itself. Can't wait to see more!

Ciao Ft. Lauderdale, Sea ya’ soon!

Then some of us from roll call met up at the Sky bar. It wasn't a very active roll call and other then our pretty faces, some of us were going on hope to recognize each other. There was an alternate private group to post a pic, but that wasnt too popular either. Any way, it was great to meet those that showed up. Shout out to Tim & Chrissa for the t shirt! That was super nice of you guys!

great review!!!

Oasis Boardwalk, a First look~

DSC_0083.jpg

Although Oasis is huge, we found it very easy to navigate. It never seemed a far walk anywhere.

There were times the ship seemed crowded and times it didnt.

Balloon boy on cruise critic? On Oasis? Labadee?

LMAO -

Where?

He is referring to the Ballon Boy who is outside Johnny Rockets in this picture.

Great review. We go in August so its great to read reviews and get excited! Where did you catch the ferry over to Columbus beach? Also wondering if that beach has the clamshell canopy chairs? Look forward to the rest of your trip report!
