I saw a menu from Johnny Rockets. It had a 16oz bear for 2.75. Does anyone know if this is still the case?

I'm sure "16 oz Bears" cost more than 2.75 hee hee jk! Never had a beer or a bear for that matter at JR's. I'm sitting here waiting for the hurricane...couldn't resist the pun!

I didn't think there was any alcohol available at JR's.

 

When we were on the Navigator a couple of years ago all they had was soft drinks and milk shakes. We wanted wine and they said no alcohol.

 

I don't think we went to JR last time on the Voyager. Have things changed?

Well that's a big change! What is the charge for different food items? I thought it was always the cover charge covered whatever you wanted to eat, but there was an extra charge for shakes, sodas, or beer.

That's what it was on Freedom. $4.95 cover charge and milkshakes, soda, alcohol extra (unless you had a soda card).

Not sure about on other ships, but 2 weeks ago on Oasis we spent the following at JR's:

 

Johnny Rockets: $5.95 for a 20oz draft, $4.25 for a MGD plus gratuity plus $9.90 for the cover charge.

Just for clarity - there were two of you right? That would make the cover charge $4.95 each:) This would be right in line with normal policy.

I think there is a bit of a misunderstanding of how the cover charge works in JR - you only pay the cover charge if you order food. You can order just drinks/shakes or beer and either sit in or take it away without paying the $4.95 charge, unless this has changed in the last 8 weeks?

 

On all my previous cruises I usually stop by JR during the day for a root beer and take it to the pool.
