Just booked my first cruise for July 2012. Its almost a year away but I am ready to go now!:)

Congrats. You will be addicted after the first. The best way to endure waiting a whole year for your first cruise is to book your second cruise 6 months from now for 6 months after your first cruise.;):D

One way to help prepare is to join the Roll Call. There you can meet and chat with others who will be sailing with you. To join, Click Boards at the top of this page, Scroll down to Roll Calls, click on your cruise line, Click on your ship. Find the thread for your sailing.

Enjoy the anticipation! Once you're on the ship, you'll find that time goes MUCH faster at sea, than waiting on land!

Join your roll call and meet everyone and enjoy in with the enthusiasm with your fellow cruisers. It helps the time pass.

 

There is a lot of information on these boards. Go to the forum of the islands that you will be visiting and read up on others experiences and excursions and what their is to do there. It takes me about 6 months of planning to find that "perfect day" on the island. :)
