stones902 Posted September 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2011 Has anyone ever priced or purchased an Ipad in St. Thomas? If so, was the price comparable to those back home? Thanks in advance for your replies? I am trying to determine if it is worth waiting for our trip or just buying stateside.
Ms411 Posted September 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2011 A new Apple store just opened with prices same as stateside (so they say). I saw it when I was there on my cruise earlier this month. You'll save sales tax.

O2B@Cagain Posted September 26, 2011 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2011 It is an authorized dealer, Techbox. It is across the street from Havensight, in the old Modern Music space.
zqvol Posted October 14, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 14, 2011 I have purchased IPods in St. Thomas before, at one of the many electronic shops. The price was about 10% less than from Apple at home plus I saved the sales tax, and since St. Thomas is part of the US you have full warranty coverage. Bottom line you won't save a lot by buying in St. Thomas but you will save something.
