Barcelona Customs - Food

Will be flying into Barcelona this Sunday 10/2/11. Can we bring food from home (US) into Barcelona? Would sandwiches be OK? How about packaged food?

Not sure what the customs procedure is in Barcelona.

Thanks for any info.

Barcelona is a paradise for foodies and will have everything you need to buy or make sandwiches! Not sure why you'd want to bring them from home on a loong plane ride??How would you keep them fresh?

Even the USA does not allow you to enter the country with meat or cheese products so it is not an unusual restriction.

I was thinking of P&J sandwiches. Just in case we get too hungry and too cranky before we sort things out before we settle in at the hotel.

Carol

why dont you just bring those small peanut butter or cheese and cracker things? I recently saw a pb & j variety as well.

Good suggestion. It should be something that is package already in it original sealed package.

If not that, something similar that is in it original packaging.
