cruiseaholic777 Posted October 23, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2011 Has anyone taken this excursion? I have a family of 5 and we all like the party boats. My youngest is 20, so the drinking and music will work for all of us. ;)

1025cruise Posted October 23, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2011 You may be better off posting this in the destination board.
CruiserBruce Posted October 23, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 23, 2011 The St Maarten board is here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=93 And, yes, that is the best place to ask this.
Krazy Kruizers Posted October 24, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 24, 2011 We have done your excursion a couple of times. We don't take it for the drinking and dancing. In fact the majority of the people took it -- like us -- for the scenery. People had a couple of drinks -- only 1 or 2 people were dancing. DanJ Posted October 24, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 24, 2011 We did this in Jan 2008. I'm not sure if the excursion is the same now as then, but we bussed over to the boat, cruised up to Marigot, and took the bus back to Phillipsburg, going around the north and east side of the island, with a quick stop at Orient Beach if anyone wanted off there (and finding their own way back to the ship). They also stop in downtown on the way back if people want to do shopping or dining, again, you find your way back to the ship. We had about an hour in Marigot before the bus left. The boat is 2 levels, withe DJ and dancing upstairs. We spent most of the cruise downstairs in the shade, as it was very hot the day we were there, but we did pop upstairs for 15 minutes or so, and enjoyed the atmosphere. You clearly hear the music downstairs though, as the boat is wide open on the sides. Would definitely look at doing this tour again.
