Ship Sponsored Excursion Price Drops?

I was just curious if anyone ever notices any price drops on excursions as sailing date approaches. Kind of like how unsold cabins become cheaper as the sailing date approaches. In short, does it sometimes pay to wait to book ship sponsored excursions? :confused:

Iv only seen price increases, never drops.

 

I wait until Im onboard to use OBC to pay for them... so to me there is a point to waiting, but not because the price will be lower.

If it's something you REALLY want to do, book it as soon as you can. A few weeks ago 3 excursions sold out on our upcoming cruise.

Our friends had this happen to them twice. We book our excursions way before we cruise, and use our obc for other stuff while on board. (pictures, bingo, etc.)

I'm also assuming since alot of people received emails with 10%-30% off excursions that the excursions are booking up quickly.

Yeah, I've booked the one excursion we really wanted to do. Was thinking about another one, but we could go either way on it. Maybe we'll just wait to book that one onboard. Thanks for the information. :)

Don't wait as others explained, tours sell out. And I will say from personal experience, while rarely price drops, when it didhappen, I got credited the difference paid. :D So why wait???

You should be getting an email from carnival telling you the the excursion price was drop and they will give you a credit to your credit card
