farler05 Posted November 9, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2011 Doubtful. They'll probably start taking down decorations Jan. 1st or 2nd. Then the holiday season is officially over.

sandys57 Posted November 9, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 9, 2011 DH and I cruised New Years Eve and the Christmas decorations had already been taken down when we got on the boat. It was disappointing but did not ruin our cruise.
YB Nrml Posted November 9, 2011 #5 Share Posted November 9, 2011 On our first cruise we sailed on Jan 1. All the decorations were up when we boarded but by the end of the cruise, poof, all gone. Hope you have a great cruise.
cruisinfanatic Posted November 9, 2011 #6 Share Posted November 9, 2011 We sail the 2nd week of Jan - will it still be decorated? I would hope not. It's NOT the holiday anymore
zqvol Posted November 9, 2011 #7 Share Posted November 9, 2011 We sail the 2nd week of Jan - will it still be decorated? There are not a lot of decorations on the ships to begin with. They will come down on the first turn around day after Christmas day. All you will miss is a little bit of garland and a single tree.

Rare richstowe Posted November 10, 2011 #9 Share Posted November 10, 2011 We were on the Pride which sailed January 1 and holiday decorations were still up including a huge Menorah. Believe it was taken down the last day of our cruise.

Bonneville02 Posted November 10, 2011 #11 Share Posted November 10, 2011 I have done five consecutive NYE cruises with Carnival. The decorations usually disappear by the morning of the 2nd.

We are sailing Conquest on 12/4 and I hope the decorations aren't too overblown. I'm going to be in more of a tropical mood.

TVChick16 Posted November 11, 2011 #17 Share Posted November 11, 2011 We set sail on the Inspiration on January 1 last year. The holiday decorations were up at the beginning of the cruise, but were gone by the end. The funny thing was, I didn't even notice until I looked at my photos of the ship's atrium when got home! :o (Photos links in signature)
