Ruth came back to Grandeur November 1. This cruise she has been in the diamond lounge but November 8 is moving to the suite lounge. I assume Francis is moving back to the diamond lounge.

I just got a couple of emails this morning in connection with upcoming cruises and have adjustments to the list....

Willie, who is on Brilliance is actually leaving for vacation on November 16, not the 19th... that makes a lot more sense because the 16th is turnover day.

Luca on Legend is back from vacation. According to Luca, Larisa was the vacation replacement and is currently on Navigator.

Beg to differ with you. He most certainly did virtually ignore the suite guests on the voyage I was on. Of course, this could have been attributed more to the 2 couples who parked themselves at his desk every night and his inability to get away from them than to what his "normal" interactions would have been if that wasn't the case.

Honestly, other than having to crawl over those folks to get into the lounge every night (it was before CL was moved and JD's desk was right inside the door), I don't have any complaints about the CL experience with JD on the Radiance.

I'm just saying that I've experienced other concierges who were better able to move about the room and not allow themselves to be monopolized by one or two parties.

I don't ask the CL to do things for me (I'm perfectly capable of making my own reservations, etc). I just enjoy a bit of a chat and maybe ask a question about his/her favorite place to visit in the next port.

SO...DO NOT respond to my experience/observations as "utter rubbish". :rolleyes: We all have our own opinions and our own experiences. I don't care if you think he is the greatest thing on the high seas! I'm glad that has been your experience. Don't begin to discount my experience or tell me what my experience was.

btw - in regards to the concierges knowing our name as we enter the lounge for the first time, I've never had one NOT address me by name...JD included. The first time it happened, it amazed me. And...quite honestly, it still does! :)

You stated that it was your opinion that:

JD does not care about suite guests. He is much - MUCH - more interested in D and above. Suite guests do not get "pampered" - or even acknowledged - by him in any way at all.

I repeat what I said before - what utter rubbish.

I am pleased to report that Willie may have had that attitude adjustment that some have indicated he needed. We are just off the Brilliance and he was most pleasant and accommodating to those of us who were Diamond Plus and were not in suites. Whether or not he was aware of earlier complaints about his ignoring non-suite guests and corrected his behavior accordingly, I can't say, but our fears that we would be ignored couldn't have been farther from what we actually experienced on this cruise. With so many Diamond, Diamond Plus and Pinnacle members on board, they opened the Concierge lounge, expanded the Diamond Lounge to the entire Viking Crown Lounge, and made the Colony Club a satellite Diamond Lounge during the cocktail hours. Even then the CL and DL were extremely crowded the first few evenings but later in the cruise it was easy to get a seat in the CL.
