I'll be right over. :D

Yes, lucky you. Savor them. Every last delicious morsel.

My own mother used to have to hide then when she got them as a gift. I would sneak one and poof up the tissue paper they used to pack them with (those octagon boxes from many years ago) so she wouldn't notice.

I would feel guilty for days afterward, and finally admit my theft. And, so, I share when I get them now. Come on over! But, post a few more times first. ;)

I really should be out in the garden deadheading my roses, but I guess they will wait.

garden? roses? I guess you are definitely further south than we are;);)

Mine were put to bed long ago for the winter:(

I'm jealous!

Happy New Year:):)

I small chocolate company, in Utah I believe, bought the recipe and sells them through Macy's - who bought Marshall Fields. (I've never gotten over the sale)

I've got a box on my lap right now!!!!

Seriously, they really SOLD the recipe?

There should be a law against something like that.

Those are the best mint candies ever!!!

I would love a taste right about now. :o

jtl513 I just have to ask.. Are you an engineer? I see Space Coast so you are due east of me. At the Cape?

Chris

Yes, EE on paper, but I never worked at it a day in my life. I went right into computer programming and retired 40 years later as a Systems and Network manager. :)

I'm actually just south of PAFB.

It looks like the magic number will come up awfully close to midnight Atlantic time. Quite a way to celebrate the New Year.

Roy

I know - it's going to be very tight ;):D

I hope we can do it. If my dh realized what I was doing right now, he would laugh his head off at me:)

We used to get them from Frederick & Nelson in Seattle. And, yes the recipe was sold. Now you can get them in Macy's, but only seasonally. Or, online.

Weeeellll, since you asked so nicely---

I was just thinking how nice it is that so many of us are all united in a fun little project. No bickering, no anger. A real community, that's all.

And how nice it is that our board hosts have seen fit to let us have our fun. All together.

It's refreshing. And it puts a nice end to the old year, with a nice start to the new one.
