Which ship(s) are your favorites?

 

For us, it's Maasdam and Noordam.

How about you?

While I've only been on two HAL crusies I'll vote for Eurodam as my favorite of the two though am hoping to try lots of other HAL ships.

My wife's favorite is the Amsterdam but for me it is the Prinsendam. In June we will be on the Prinsendam for the forth time.

Same as you, Sail. Maasdam and Noordam. Almost 100 days and they've all been on those two ships! :D

Right now of the 6 different HAL ships I've sailed on, my favorite is still the Rotterdam, with the Amsterdam a close 2nd.

 

I'm looking forward to sailing the Maasdam for the first time in 4 months. :)

Prinsendam for favorite, but Zaandam, Westerdam and Eurodam have all been good for us.

Amsterdam, Nieuw Amsterdam and Eurodam. But, any DAM ship will do. The only one I did not like was the Westerdam II. (This is the ship that was originally the HOMERIC)

Rotterdam, then Volendam. Been on others, but like the R ships the best.

Maasdam and Noordam --- By the end of February we will have sailed a little over 100 days with HAL and, like Sheila, just on those two ships. I'd love to try the rest though, I'm sure that they're great! :)

I suppose my favorite was probably the Rotterdam, as I had well over 100 days on her. But then they had to go and ruin her aft, put in The Mix, and remove my "office", so now I don't want to sail her anymore.

I do think that one more cruise on the Prinsendam and she could be my new favorite.

Although nothing will ever replace the old Rotterdam V in my heart. She was a beauty for the ages.

But if the itinerary we want is on another DAM ship, that's where you'll find us.

 

And sometimes if the DAM ship is local (San Diego or Los Angeles) and the price is right for a last-minute trip, we'll go regardless of which ship. Any day aboard is better than a day elsewhere.

Nieuw Amsterdam

But we'll be on the Maasdam in a few months, so that last one could change soon! ;)

We like any "Dam" ship but our favorites are the Maasdam, Rotterdam and Noordam. Favorites will continue to be the R and S class ships. Sail them while they are still sailing.

 

Eurodam a couple of years ago and in a few days the MS Nieuw Amsterdam. Our first experience on a Signature ship was they do not ride as well as other classes. We will give a second opinion in a couple of weeks.

 

No matter what Hal ship we always get that welcome home feeling and are just so thankful that we can experience being on a cruise ship.

Amsterdam for me....Just love the homey feel! But the Oosterdam holds a special place in my heart as well, as it was my first cruise:D!

I have only been on one HAL ship.... Prinsendam. I loved it. I loved the size, the crew and everything about her. I will be on the Veendam in two weeks. I will see if my answer is the same then.

OK, so I've not been on all 15 or even 1/2 of them, yet.... but my favories in their order of my favoritism are:

 

Zuiderdam

Oosterdam

Westerdam

Nieuw Amsterdam

 

I'll have to rethink these answers after we try the Noordam in 73 days:)

 

Zuiderdam because I just love her larger than any other aft wrap verandahs, and because I just loved the feel of her.

 

Oosterdam because she was our 1st HAL ship and I love the happiness this ship exudes.

 

Westerdam because she made me feel like I was a queen and I loved our very first Suite experience on her.

 

Nieuw Amsterdam only because we were on her. I liked her but did not love her as I did the Vista Class.

Volendam, without a doubt... followed closely by the Veendam, because she was my first HAL ship.

Definitely the Prinsendam for me. For second I guess it would have to be the Zaandam as it will be the first HAL ship I sail twice. Honorable mention goes to the Grande Dame.
