pmcdunnough Posted April 8, 2014 #651 Share Posted April 8, 2014 Is carbonated water available only in the Premium Non-alcoholic package? Am quite confused regarding the whole beverage thing. We are very light drinkers ( very occasional glass of wine if ever) but love coffee and carbonated water. It doesn't have to be premium carbonated water. Anything with CO2! So with meals which packages gives you the ability to order a bottle of carbonated water? Thanks... Philip

Philip You might be able to get plain soda water in a can or from the bartender's fountain with the classic package but I'm not sure of that. If you want sparkling bottled water like Perrier or San Pellegrino then the only the premium beverage package includes this. Of course you could always buy these individually if you wouldn't consume enough to justify the cost difference.
barbels Posted April 9, 2014 #654 Share Posted April 9, 2014 You can get plain club soda on the classic alcohol package. I had it many times.
AppleApple Posted April 10, 2014 #655 Share Posted April 10, 2014 Hi, the FIL just got back to me and (yay) he got the price drop on the fare for the 10 of us. Now he is trying to understand the Beverage package policies. Yeah, I know, who isn't ; -) So I have tried to gather up as much of the excellent advice I have found here and put it into a (hopefully) coherent format. I am also including menus I have gathered up around here. I would appreciate it if you experts could eyeball it and let me know if I have any glaring omissions, errors or misrepresentations! Hi Everyone, So there you have it, the 2012 Celebrity Wine List for the Main Dining Rooms. Now as I understand it, this is the FULL LIST for the MDRs FLEET WIDE … but is not necessarily so that ALL wines will be available in ALL Venues… or in some cases there will be only a limited amount of bottles of some selections. Specific Wine Lists for each of Celebrity’s Ships in the fleet will have the current availability… if one is seeking a specific wine, then you should consult one of the MDR’s Sommeliers. I would like to once again thank the wonderful crew on the Celebrity Solstice who got this info to me… Igor – the Maitre D’ of the Grand Epernay Dining Room Amir – the Head Sommelier Hi Sarah Wow indeed. Must have been a lot of work. Do they do non alcoholic cocktails on board please, and if so what's the average cost. I cannot see which package would enable me to have these mocktails . Thanking you in advance

Thanking you in advance They do have mocktails. Just got off the Equinox last week and I remember seeing a few in the 4-4.50 range. They were both frozen and non frozen type drinks. edtorious Posted April 17, 2014 #658 Share Posted April 17, 2014 Hello, first time cruiser here. We will cruise on Celebrity Silhouette on October. I'm new to beverage package and have some question. There 3 of us going on the cruise and we're not alcohol drinker and so we're thinking of getting the classic non-alcoholic package mainly for the regular bottled water. I drink soda occasionally but the 2 with me are not much of a soda drinker. I know sharing is not allowed but what if I just buy a package for me and then I'll just stock up on bottled water and share the bottled water with the rest of my party? Do they strictly enforce this no sharing policy on the beverage package? The rest of my party are not really keen on the tap water so what do you guys think? I wish there's a beverage package for just regular bottled waters. Right now the price on classic non-alcoholic package is $200+ per person on a 14 night cruise. Any suggestions or help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I wish there's a beverage package for just regular bottled waters. Right now the price on classic non-alcoholic package is $200+ per person on a 14 night cruise. Any suggestions or help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. The premium bottled water package would be the best thing for you to get. It's 14.00 per day and it includes still water like Evian and sparkling like Perrier and San Pellegrino. The San Pellegrino and Evian come in both small and large bottles. I am implying that you're going B2B, so you could buy it on your first leg and stock up for your second leg or just play by the rules and spend the 14.00 for all 14 days. After all, you have OBC to burn since you obviously did not pick the drinks package as your perk when you booked your cruise. By the way, you're a first time cruiser and you're doing a B2B on the Silhouette? You'll be spoiled for all future cruises. It's a great ship, just got off of her a few weeks ago and had a blast. Pickels Posted April 17, 2014 #660 Share Posted April 17, 2014 WOW! Great document.. Here's a question, if you get a beverage package, when you order soda, do you get a can or, is it from the fountain? The taste is different. That's why on previous cruises, we never get the package. Here's a question, if you get a beverage package, when you order soda, do you get a can or, is it from the fountain? The taste is different. That's why on previous cruises, we never get the package. That's the difference between Celebrity and Royal.....there is no fountain soda on Celebrity, it's all from a can.

I don't think I have that before, it says the classic package includes non premium bottled, it does not say only still no sparkling  Surely they must have bottles of non premium sparkling

Evian is the still version in the same category. If all you have is the classic package, then your choice according to the website is Aqualina, which is still water in bottles. If club soda is not a good enough alternative for you, then you'll have to upgrade. At dinner time, a large bottle of San Pellegrino is easily obtained for your pleasure and throughout the day, it can be gotten easily at Cafe al Bacio in both individual and large versions. Xfedcruiser Posted April 18, 2014 #668 Share Posted April 18, 2014 Please note that the info in Post #655 is over a year old and some prices have increased. The information at the link in post #642 is much newer, if not current. rubydoobydoo Posted April 18, 2014 #669 Share Posted April 18, 2014 Thank you all for the information, I didn't realise there was no sparkling water on the classic, I think I will upgrade. Can I get a large bottle of sparkling from a bar and take it into the dining room or will the waiter bring me a bottle to the table? I have already purchased the classic, if I go into my cruise planner and now purchase the premium will it just charge me the extra difference in price to upgrade or will it charge me for another whole package ? She even added it AFTER we paid for our insurance so we didn't have to pay insurance on the drink package. Lsimon Posted April 18, 2014 #673 Share Posted April 18, 2014 (edited) Folks, keep in mind that you do not have to have a beverage package in order to obtain the extra cost beverages. You can always buy these items individually. So if a beverage package doesn't include what you want and/or just doesn't make sense economically you should consider taking a pass on purchasing one. Hello, first time cruiser here. Thanks. They do enforce the no sharing policy. It is hard to say how strict as I, like most others, have not cheated the policy. Your question is like asking "Does a store strictly enforce their no stealing/no shoplifting policy?" It is not only hard to tell what enforcement procedures they have in place but sharing a drink package is considered by many to be akin to shoplifting and theft as one would be taking something from the cruise line that they did not pay for. If someone without a beverage package wants bottled water they can buy it by the bottle so you do not have to attempt to cheat the system to get it for them. Also, they do have a bottled water packages available although it is not talked about much on these boards. In addition you can bring on as much bottled water as you like when you embark the ship and/or at ports of call. They are not included in the classic packages but are included in the premium packages. There is no "bottled" sparkling water included in the classic packages. If you only drink these occasionally you might just buy them by the bottle. I believe they do have soda water available in cans and from the bartenders soda fountain guns. While I've not asked or seen this, I imagine these might be included in the classic package. You'd have to ask about this on board. Can I buy a case of soda or bottled water outside the ship if it's cheaper and can i bring it in the ship?
