balcony with land view or ocean view?

when you are cruising along by land do you prefer to see the shoreline or look away toward the water?

I prefer the water. It makes me realize how big the earth really is and how small I am.

You are never really THAT close to the land while actually cruising, unless you're coming into port...bring your binoculars! I enjoy seeing landmasses in the distance....or ocean..doesn't matter!

Once you turn around and head back to port, the view changes! ;)

 

Me: I have an aft cabin on my next cruise. Will be able to see both sides, and where

we have been! :)

and you never know which way they will 'park' the ship in port - depends on what size needs "work" (painting, etc)

At some point the land disappears from view, so I look at it while I can (if only to feel superior to the poor suckers still there not on the cruise with me ;))!!!!
