39august Posted March 22, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2012 Has anyone else been sucessful in using the BOGO specialty restaurant coupon on a later night on any ship? We were allowed to use ours in Portofino on the second night when I explained that my husband hadn't felt well on the first night.

beachnative Posted March 22, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2012 Yes. Some ships allow them to be used on later nights. The Enchantment is excellent for that. No. Some ships will not allow it to be used later in the week. I asked on the Allure and was denied. Evidently, it depends on the ship.
MarkE Posted March 22, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 22, 2012 Is the bogo coupon avaiable on the Liberty? Is it for the specialty restaurants only on the first night? Where do you get one? We leave on April

39august Posted March 23, 2012 Author #6 Share Posted March 23, 2012 Anyone get to do this on Oasis or Navigator? Those are my next two cruises.
beachnative Posted March 23, 2012 #7 Share Posted March 23, 2012 We take advantage of the BOGO on all cruises (except Monarch). Oasis was BOGO from the coupon book on the first night only as it was the Allure. I have learned to book the dinner for ONE person and pay for that ONE person before I board, then both of us show up. Before doing it that way they refunded my 2 person payment and then charged the BOGO for one person. It has been much easier booking and paying for just one of us. debshomespun Posted March 23, 2012 #9 Share Posted March 23, 2012 I think they mark them for the first night only, because many people are tired from traveling, and reservations are much lower for the first night. I would think maybe the older ships would allow use of the coupon later in the cruise. May also depend on how many reservations are made for the rest of the week too. 39august Posted March 23, 2012 Author #10 Share Posted March 23, 2012 Good to hear about Navigator. I used mine on Mariner. Seems such a shame that both my husband and I get a coupon but for first night only. So we always throw one away. I'm going to start trying to use both. Worst that can happen is they say no! maggieq Posted March 23, 2012 #11 Share Posted March 23, 2012 We will be D+ for our next cruise. I had no idea you had to use this coupon the first night. I'm assuming my bf and I both get one in our books? If so, what do you do with the other one? Should I prebook for the first night for one and then show up with the coupon to pay for the other? Thanks!

If so, you can use both coupons for your party of 4. We've done that several times. Otherwise, unless the ship will make an exception and let you use the 2nd coupon on another night (don't expect or count on that), you will only be able to use one. Rala Posted March 23, 2012 #15 Share Posted March 23, 2012 We used our BOGO coupon on another night on Jewel in Feb. Seems like they are not too strict about only using the coupon on the first night. I would definitely ask about it.:)

beachnative Posted March 23, 2012 #17 Share Posted March 23, 2012 Just curious: How would the coupon work on Monarch since Jade is A la carte? Don't know. That's why I haven't used one on that ship. I'll ask next time I'm on her...there may be a way...by a steak and get one free, etc.

Hypo Posted March 23, 2012 #19 Share Posted March 23, 2012 We used both of ours on the Mariner two weeks ago; One on the first night and the second on Tuesday night. Had to ask but the manager from Portofino was able to get it approved.
Aquahound Posted March 23, 2012 #20 Share Posted March 23, 2012 Should I prebook for the first night for one and then show up with the coupon to pay for the other? That's exactly what I just did on Liberty. When I showed up, I asked them if I did it right and they said yes. In fact, they told me they prefer it that way because if you pre-book 2, you pay for 2, which means they then have to credit one back to your account as OBC. gmacruiser418 Posted June 3, 2012 #22 Share Posted June 3, 2012 we want to use the 2 we receive for 2 couples, should I just book a table for 4 under our two names and not put the others' names on the reservation? I figure we need to pay for 2, but the other two would be free.

eileen226 Posted June 3, 2012 #25 Share Posted June 3, 2012 If you use the coupon at 150 CP, and you order the wine pairings, does the coupon apply only to the $40.00 "cover" charge, or the wine pairings as well?
