Lots of things disappear and it dismays me that a link on another CC board which leads to what can only be described as a pornographic image has never been deleted!

T & C's seem to apply to suit Mr M!

Now that ST is leaving us I think I will follow suit - fed up with our reasonable posts being deleted, with no explanation whatsoever, while this link above remains.

Safe homeward bound ST - you are a little ray of sunshine in our CC lives!

Will be lurking around watching for your next adventure!

Enjoy the little critters tonight! LOL! ;)

I take it I missed something:confused:

How on earth did you manage to get a cabin on the transatlantic?.Friends of our have been waitlisted since February for this cruise although they book a category and don't take a GTY.

J

Reading comprehension is a good thing :p

Go back and re-read the post. ST says he will be on UNTIL the ship goes trans-Atlantic.

Since the ship goes transatlantic on 10th September and arrives in Montreal on 29th September I read STs post as being on the ship until Montreal.

I am very envious of being able to change plans and take advantage of being on Seabourn as ST has.

With the distances we have to travel we always have to have everything fully arranged prior to our departure. The transatlantic on the Legend is on sale at the moment but we cannot rearrange our plans since we are committed to the Melbourne Cup with family.

Never mind there is always next year, that is if the brochures are ever printed!.

ST

I see you have a number of turnaround days. I saw an earlier post on CC about those days.

Someone asked what he did on those days? With people coming and going and the crew busy was there much to do?

He said that he barked.

????? What do you mean that you barked?

Well, since I was not disembarking or embarking, I guess that I was barking.

I have a question, do you post to a word processor and paste. Either way your writing is wonderful.

Bob

Lefty Bob ...nope no word processor used.;)

Well ST - thank you for sharing all your "moments" .... You will be missed :-( and have you seen how many number of views you've had! Incredible! Do you want to tell us your new embarkation date and port? Just so I can put it in the diary :p! Gosh you'll be on board for 3 months, is that right?

I bet you'll be feeling quite emotional tomorrow on leaving and taking the slippers off for the last time this trip! I know how I felt leaving the Quest and that was only after two weeks! ;)

Safe travels and keep in touch Mr ST.:D

Honestly, until I arrive home later today/this evening and see what the "situation" is there I have no firm date. I would like to be back actually on June 29th truth be known for the North Cape/Artic Circle Cruise. I've packed a pair of "frsh" SB slippers to wear at home and pretend I am on the Sojourn in the meantime.

I am sorry but I just re-read one of your post from the other day...did you take a nasty fall and end "tits up" in the garden fence? Hope you are alright?

Will keep you all posted on my return date to the Sojourn....stay tuned!

I can understand about hut tubs and evening dining areas. But isn't there a "secret" hot tub located elsewhere?

So you will be on my cruise starting July20th?

Kathy

Kathy16, they close the hot tubs on stern and the bow as well on Deck 5 at 7:00pm.:eek::mad:

If all goes well, yes I will have been already back onboard before you board on July 20th.

Sorry maybe it was the way I wrote it, what I meant was I will be taking the ship to my front door until it arrives in Montreal on September 29th, therefore going on the Trans-Atlantic cruise will be my last one on the Sojourn.;)

Day 43: Arrival into Copenhagen, Denmark

Good very early morning, just having my last coffee by George in my suite...will miss this little machine no doubt. We'll I guess it's time to pack! Couldn't bring myself to pack last night and will be carrying off my own luggage this morning. My flight from Copenhagen doesn't leave until 12:45pm so I will be leaving the ship at the very last call at approx. 9:45am and then head directly to the airport.

It's yet another cold morning here in Northern Europe, a balmy 8C or 46F and under overcast skies. The Colonnade opens for breakfast at 7:00am until 9:30am and the Restaurant opens at 7:00am until 9:00am. We are scheduled to arrive into Copenhagen at 7:00am or in approx. 2 hours or less.

More to come later this morning from the Sojourn enroute for Copenhagen, Denmark.

yes, that is correct. we are driving in Wales and Cornwall for the 2 weeks in between cruises then heading to Washington for a week after the Sojourn, London for a few days then home for a few days before flying down for the Melbourne Cup.

we are trying to sort something out for early next year but have run out of deposits so will have to wait until we are onboard again besides we really want to see the 13/14 book before we start doing research on the pre & post trips.

Day 43: Welcome to Copenhagen, Denmark 6:45am

We have just arrived into the Port of Copenhagen, Denmark and are about to be tied up alongside our berth. It appears that we are the only ship in port as of now or possibly for today.

The weather hasn't improved at all we are still under overcast skies and a current temperature of 12C or 54F....looks like it's warming up!

Just about to jump in the shower and shave and then after I'll be able to finish my packing and go up to the Colonnade for breakfast after 8:30am when mostly everyone has left for a last leisurely breakfast and say goodbye to the crew/extended family for the past 2 months/58 days.

More to come later this morning from the Sojourn now tied up alongside our berth here in Copenhagen, Denmark.

we enjoy travelling and we try and include Seabourn where possible. Their b2bs are a bit of a problem for us on the Pride next year so we intend to drive in Scandinavia for 3 weeks inbetween cruises. we are looking at either the world cruise on the Quest or back to Sth America on the Sojourn at the moment but we really do love the small ships most of all - we have only spent 44 days on the bigger ones.

My little bird tells me that the Quest will NOT be doing the World Cruise next year and will be in South America. Looks like they are repositioning her into South America possibly as the Quest Transatlantic got cancelled several days ago for Oct 26th, 2013 and is going to be substituted for a Barcelona to Rio de Janeiro for the same dates 18 days and will most likely stay in South America for the season. We should have confirmation of all of this in the next 2-3 weeks.;);)

surely that would be the 2014 world cruise. we were really hoping that one of the small ships would go back to Sth America. we circumnavigated in 2010 on the Spirit and it was one of our best cruises .

we have been offered a cabin on the Sojourn from Valparaiso to Rome but we would have to move for one leg! the cruise up the amazon was amazing and we have a good contact in the area who would look after us again. the ship got quite used to seeing us head out for some interesting adventures!.
