Golden dry dock??

I heard that the Golden is/was in Dry dock in May.

 

Besides painting, cleaning, and the usual stuff, does anyone know what they are doing to her?

 

I had heard a while back that they were removing the structure that houses Skywalker's Lounge/Disco from the back, and they were adding a Pizzeria next to the International Cafe.

 

Any truth to either??

Those things did not happen this time. We were told there was some new carpet, but any other changes were not obvious to me.

That was done to the Grand and is not planned for any other Princess ship.

They are not adding or taking

anything away.

They like the Golden the way it is!

There were structural reasons for removing Skywalkers on the Grand. The lounge was re-designed on subsequent ships and different materials used. That's why the Grand is the only one to have it removed and no others.

The Grand Princess is the only ship that has Alfredo's restaurant/pizzaria. The new Royal Princess will also have an Alfredo's with an "expanded" menu.

Sapphire also has Alfredo's. It was added with their remodel.
