hotel with shuttle to Miami Pier

Flying into Ft Lauderdale -- cruising from Miami. Looking for a hotel that offers a shuttle from the airport and a shuttle to the cruise pier in Miami. I KNOW that it exists and has been discussed on here before....but, I can't find it! Please help! Thank you!!

No one will take you from FLL to Miami for free. It is a 40+ minute drive.

 

There was a hotel that put the shuttle price into their room rate. But it wasn't free.

Yes, I've seen it mentioned here before but I can't remember. Did you try the "Search this forum" function back on the main page?

 

Personally, I wouldn't be concentrating so hard on "freebies" and hotel shuttles. Both Miami and Fort Lauderdale have nice areas and great hotels and you could certainly stay in either city comfortably, get a nice room, have a great meal, do some sight-seeing, and take a cab or shuttle bus to your pier in the morning. This board is filled with hotel suggestions for both cities.

There will not be any hotel with a free shuttle from the Fort Lauderdale Airport to the Miami Pier. It's way too far.

Too late to edit this post , but on the Hilton Garden Inn, if your cruise dates are past Sept 2012 you have to call the hotel direct @ 954-924-9204 ( NOT the 1-800#) to get the rates. For some reason they just list them in blocks of a few months at a time.

It is far, thus the price would reflect that. I've read it here on this board, but couldn't recall the name (well, honestly, I didn't need it so I didn't care). :p But as hoosiercouple mentioned, there are a few which offer this.

 

I still stand by my earlier comments about not choosing a hotel based on this criteria.

Just an FYI --- the Comfort Inn offers the package I was looking for. They pick you up at the airport in Ft. Lauderdale, take you to the hotel for the night, and then to the Miami pier in the morning. Price.....$139. Pretty reasonable. It's not a "fabulous" hotel -- but, it's clean and convenient. I wish budget issues didn't need to factor in -- but, sometimes they do. Thanks for your input though

I would want to know what type of transportation is used to shuttle to the POM. If it's an 8 seater van and there are 30 people who want to go, what happens then? I'm honestly asking. You may be placed on a long shuttle list in which case you get to the pier much later than you want to.

 

I understand budget is a concern. I also understand that there are other options. *shrug*

You make your reservation for that specific package -- and they plan transportation accordingly. I'm in the travel business -- and I've had other clients booked here with this option -- no complaints. I just couldn't recall the name of the hotel, as I haven't used it in quite awhile. Having to wait has never been an issue.
