Silent spa auction

when I was onboard the grand princess a couple of weeks ago, the spa offered a silent auction on selected treatments.

 

 

This was the first time I've ever known princess to do this.

 

Has anyone else been on a princess cruise that offers this?

Yes. The only time I saw it was on either the Crown or the Emerald. I don't remember which. We were on one of them for Thanksgiving and the other a few months later for spring break. I won the auction for a hot stone massage. I paid about half the regular price. They must only do these when there are a lot of openings in the schedule.

We were on the Sapphire last Oct for a 28 day South Pacific cruise. We bid on, and won, a mani pedi, and a massage each. We bid half price. It was the last week, of all sea days.

Yes...but it's been awhile and I got a specialty facial for about half the price...glad to hear they are still doing it selectively!!

Yes, my hubby and I each won with our bids the last day of our Hawaii cruise on the Sapphire Princess. It was great! When we went on our Alaska cruise on the Sapphire this summer, we asked if they would be doing it, and they said no, not on Alaska sailings and that it's up to the Spa manager.

We have seen this on the Ocean Princess. Maybe it is just longer cruises or ones with multiple sea days
