Southwest - no plane change

Mt Lassen

When you land, the flight attendants will request that you remain in your current seat until they've done a head count for through passengers. When they've done the head count, then you can gather up your things and relocate to any open, available seat. There's usually no option for getting off the plane as these are really quick turns; so plan accordingly for any kind of extra food or drink that you might need for your flight day.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was more concerned that I might be required to get off and then re-board.

On one Southwest flight with no plane change there was a delay in take off for the 2nd part of the flight. We were required to disembark but were the 1st to reboard. We were able to claim different seats before disembarking.

When we stopped, but didn't change planes, at LAS we were asked to stay on the plane, but I asked if I could quickly go into the terminal (to play the slots) and they said okay. Didn't see anyone else do it.

Did you win? :)
