Bokkie Posted October 8, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2012 Is there a coach service or is it better to stay overnight before embarcation, which Hotels give 22 nights parking free?
Rare Keith1010 Posted October 8, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2012 I would post this on the British Isles Ports Of Call Board. Keith
Rare Essiesmom Posted October 8, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2012 I would also ask this on the Cunard board, and the P&O-UK board, as they get more 'traffic'. EM

Did you not get free parking at s'ton when you booked your cruise? A number of cruise lines are offering this. You do have to book your car in seperately. We did this last year with RCI, stayed at the Premier Inn for one night then, parked up at the pier. All easy and convenient. :)
Alaskanb Posted October 8, 2012 #5 Share Posted October 8, 2012 It is very easy to do via train--check on trainline. Cross Country train line offers a direct service. IMHO you need to stay in Southampton the night before the cruise.
jocap Posted October 8, 2012 #6 Share Posted October 8, 2012 We travel down by train, usually changing at Birmingham or Wolverhampton, then stay at one of the 3 hotels in the complex opposite the station- wheel the luggage across the road ( Novotel or Ibis- the 3rd, Etap, is a bit too basic, but cheap) If we drive, we go to the Holiday Inn, Herbert Walker Ave, which is right on the port, next to where Celebrity and RCI dock- we've had up to 15 days free parking, so they might charge extra for the remaining week. Novotel and several others also do free parking. I'm sure National Express coaches will have services from your town to Southampton, even if you have to change at a hub. Hope this helps-;) Jo.
