SteveLT Posted February 26, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 26, 2013 One of our best BEACH near the Port of Samana in Dominican Republic is LA PLAYITA Beach in Las Galeras. Located 28 Kilometers from the Port of Samana ( a 35 Minutes drive ), LA PLAYITA has white sand beach and calm clear turquoise waters. Many Tour Operators and TAXI Tours are offering this tour from Samana. Just Google : La Playita Beach Tour in Samana and you will get a lot of options to choose from. STEVE Tour Guide in Samana Peninsula
Cru1s1ng2009 Posted February 26, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 26, 2013 yes. In fact it is the most beautiful and secluded beach I have ever been on. Plus they offer excursions to it.The bonus is it is not on the main land and the main land is also very beautiful but very poor. I dont feel safe getting off the ship there. It is called cayo levantado and you can tender right to it. It has a resort on one side and the cruise excursions on the other. You can do a beach break or swin with the sea lions. Its kind of expensive and it is a big area so there is not a lot of people there. It truely is paradise. I looked up the ressort on this little island but it was way to pricey for me.please tell me what you think of it when you checck it out. You will not be sorry. It is so peaceful and more importantly, safe.
