CruiserBruce Posted December 23, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2012 Best to research on the NCL board. May or may not have it, but I promise it won't be free.
kitty9 Posted December 23, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 23, 2012 You can purchase a block of minutes for a lesser price or you can just pay as you go. But expect to pay anywhere from $.55 to $.75 a minute. Plus, Internet is VERY slow. Sometimes it can take more than a minute to download one page. paul929207 Posted December 23, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 23, 2012 It will be expensive and slow. Alternatives will include restaurants and bars in port. Some have free wifi. Internet cafes in port. There will be a charge, but much cheaper and faster than the ship. Ask your cabin steward or waiter where to go.
Rare Crew News Posted December 24, 2012 #6 Share Posted December 24, 2012 Plus, Internet is VERY slow. Sometimes it can take more than a minute to download one page. Just as an example for downloading speed: I downloaded the Windows 8 upgrade in approximately 6 minutes at home. The Microsoft Tech Instructor on the ms Westerdam took nearly 6 hours to download the upgrade for his laptop on board. He kept his fingers crossed that there were no interruptions.
