Coral Princess®:

Coral will enjoy the makeover treatment in 2013. From installing new buffet lines and a pastry/dessert station in Horizon Court to placing an International Café by the ship’s casino, changes are sure to delight. Other enhancements include adding 13 standard, two-berth staterooms and creating a dual wedding chapel/conference center, plus conducting extensive repair and maintenance work to keep the vessel looking her best.

Wonder where the cabins are going?

I wonder if that space is coming from the Casino, which seems larger than necessary. Sure hope they're not taking away the Library, but it and the Card Room would be about the right size for adding that many cabins. The notification also mentioned a dual wedding chapel/conference room. Wherever the old conference room is now might become the new cabins, too. If there even is a conference room. I may be confusing her with the big girls. . . .

I just read this about the Coral. I'm happy to hear about the International cafe, but I hope we don't lose the library. I've always speculated that they would do something with the card room space, so I wonder if they're going to turn that into cabins. I'm going on the Island this fall and I wish the renovations would be on the Island.

This August will be my first cruise on Princess and on the Coral to Alaska. After reading the posts on here, I was wishing Coral had one and now it looks like I'll get to experience it.

High Heel Girl, how do you get the Princess CC newsletter?

The current Coral wedding chapel is pretty bare bones and out of the way. It will be interesting to see how that is improved. I can't think where they would put 13 new cabins. I doubt they would take the room from the casino. It's pretty dinky as it is. I can envision the IC--there is a lot of poorly used space in the atrium on that level. Sounds great! Must book when I can.

We are currently on the Coral and I heard from two reliable sources that the Coral will get an IC during her January drydock. It would be located in part of the area that is currently the Casino Bar on Fiesta deck. Has anyone heard this information or is it just a pipe dream?
Looks like the information I posted last September was correct. I was a little concerned when one of the officers at our M&G on the Island this month stated that the sign-off had not been completed for the Island mods and that hers would be first. Glad that info was incorrect. The Islands drydock has been postponed until 2014 so no IC for her until next year :(

This is probably the location of her new IC.

With the location of the lifts it would be difficult to use the Library or Card Room for cabins. Where or where are the going

I understand that they are going to be oceanview cabins on Fiesta deck... numbered in the 500's. Now how and where they are going to be shoehorning those cabins onto that deck is up for discussion.

If that information is correct then the cabins would span the entire length of the Casino. That would be a significant reduction in the size of the Casino.

I'm excited and I don't even know why!:D I haven't been on any Princess ship yet, but I've heard so much about the International Cafe that I'm looking forward to it. (Now I have to prepare myself for being excited for nothing!) (This is meant to be humorous, not rude--so hard to relay emotions in a post.)

We're on the Coral 3/17 for our honeymoon and I am very happy to hear about the IC. This is our first time on Princess and I had read so much about it, that we were hoping to get to experience it. Hooray!

Michelle, you're going to have to do a "Live From" or at minimum a review when you return. Have a wonderful trip.
