Rare 1of4 Posted February 6, 2013 #8 Share Posted February 6, 2013 Heard about this on the 5:00 AM radio news from Toronto as I was driving to work today (Wednesday). A 1.5 m Tsunami hit the Solomon Islands and killed 4 (so far). 1 m = 39 inches. The island it hit (can't remember the name) was small, the larger of the islands in the Solomons...and I will butcher the spelling...Vanuwantu...measured a wave of 11cm (30cm = 1 foot).
