Past guest Party

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if they have a party for past cruisers? Carnival has one but it is not advertised on the ship activities. I think we got an invite in our stateroom

Carnivals welcome back party is only for the higher levels of repeat passengers. I was given a coupon for a drink in the MDR at breakfast or lunch.

It is a Gold level benefit and listed on the C&A Benefits page as "Exclusive invitation to Welcome Back Party", but with the following restriction "Member only Welcome Back Party and Dinner with an Officer available only on cruise vacations of 7 nights or longer."

I've never gone to the past cruiser parties even with the invite. What goes on in there?

not much. a few simple cocktails being passed around, maybe some finger foods. one or more Officer speaks as well as the CD. Maybe the top cruisers of that voyage are singled out for recognition.

We have attended many Welcome Back functions on the Monarch (3/4 nights) so don't understand that restriction.

The seven night minimum didn't used to be a restriction, we've had them on our shorter cruises, but it's been quite a few years since we've done a cruise less than seven days, so maybe it has changed.

I agree that they are not really worth attending. [We do not go to the Captain's party on the 1st formal night, either]. On our Enchantment cruises they served very poor champagne and fruit punch at the Captain's party. At the C & A event they served plain champagne and champagne with cranberry juice and fruit punch.

We do attend the upper tier event on most cruises. They generally have nicer cocktails and snacks. They often have dance music and/or entertainment. Since we are not diamond, this is one evening we do not buy before dinner drinks.

A lot of the times, the Loyalty Ambassodor will give a speech and then present the passenger(s) with the highest number of cruises with a bottle of champagne, and someone else will plug the newest class of ship being built and the new itineraries and reallocation of some of the ships in the fleet. Seems like a big sales pitch, sometimes. :p

We generally will check out the upper tier events. On Brilliance a few years ago, they had a gorgeous buffet breakfast for upper tier in one of the lounges; there were only about 25 or 30 people there. :)
