BugsyCruiser Posted April 12, 2013 Author #551 Share Posted April 12, 2013
I thought a while back I read some one say that they wouldn't try Celebrity because of their 'smoking policy'. Do you know what there 'smoking policy' is? As I have severe environmental allergies / sensitivities and have big breathing issues around smoke and smokers from the residue on them. The ship looks wonderful but their 'smoking policy' would be the deciding factor on whether or not I could sail with them. Thanks Joanne
Here you go Joanne. Hope this helps: Celebrity Cruises Where You Can Smoke: Cigarette smoking is only permitted in designated indoor and outdoor areas. Examples include the port side of the pool deck and sundecks on each ship; the port side of the Sunset Bar on Celebrity Century and on Celebrity's Millennium class of ships; and the port side, aft, outside of Winter Garden on Celebrity Galaxy and Celebrity Mercury. Where You Can't: Smoking is prohibited in cabins and on balconies. Also, smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, casino, theater, hallway, elevator or corridor. On Celebrity's new Solstice, the Lawn Club and the Sunset Bar at the Lawn Club will not allow smoking. Cigar and Pipe Smoking: Cigar and pipe smoking is allowed only in specially designated sections of the open decks.

seadancer Posted April 12, 2013 #555 Share Posted April 12, 2013 (edited) Exactly At least the shipped rocked :) that's one of the things I miss about the smaller ships. That the big ships don't seem to have much of. Edited April 12, 2013 by seadancer

That's what I like so well about the Caribbean. :D I love the pictures of the ship....she look mammoth though. micmacmissy Posted April 12, 2013 #570 Share Posted April 12, 2013 Ahh...I love Labadee...looks like you had a great day there! The Silhouette looks enormous on that dock! Is it bigger than the Royal Freedom class ships? How many passengers are onboard this week? As I sit here trying to motivate myself to go make dinner, I'm so envious of the wonderful dinner options you have ahead of you!

Silhouette is actually about 30 thousand tons smaller than Royal's Freedom class ships. We have 2850 passengers on board and about 1300 crew

We have 2850 passengers on board and about 1300 crew Isn't that full capacity? How crowded does it feel? We had 600 and some on Azamara last year so I'm a little worried. I booked our Med cruise for this year because of the itinerary and secondly because Celebrity had good reviews.
