Luggage Questions

Where do you store the luggage, under the bed, in a closet, thinking of bringing large duffle bags so they can be folded in half and stored away.

Yes, your luggage is in your cabin for the cruise. Ours goes under the bed without problem. There may also be room in the closet

We've never had issues storing our luggage under the bed on the following cruise lines: Celebrity, Oceania, Princess, Regent, Royal Caribbean, and Windstar

 

In fact, I think I'd be surprised if my luggage didn't fit under the bed! :eek:

Always under the bed.

Depends on the bed and luggage. Some luggage needs to be stored open.

 

Some beds have a lip haging from the frame. The beds are usually very light to lift the inch necessary to push the luggage under.

Always under the bed. I'll leave one of my duffels open and that acts like my dirty clothes hamper. I'll pull out the duffel from under the bed, toss in my dirty clothes, and slide the duffel back under the bed. You might need to lift the bed frame to slide your bag under, but once your bag is past the frame there will be plenty of room.

Luggage can easily fit under the bed.

 

You can also put some in the closet.

Depending on the cabin type we choose, most times we can store our 4 big suitcases under the bed.

If we are in the Penthouse, there isn't any storage under the bed as it is a solid frame attached to the floor. So I stack the suitcases in a corner in the living room.

Virtually any suitcase will fit closed up under their beds. We travel with very large hard sided suitcases and never had an issue

We do something similar. We store all of our luggage under the bed (which, to the OP, are often large pieces and always fits well) but leave one (or two) in easy slide out reach on the side and use that for dirty clothes. Keeps the closet - which can get cramped depending on stateroom category - less crowded. Also makes the last night of packing a shorter task.
