Will RCI supply a raised toilet seat if needed. I will be on the Enchanment of the Seas and had hip surgery recently and to carry the one we have is cumbersome. Any replies will be appreciated.

Do yourself a huge favor and ask RCI this question directly. I'm betting they can arrange something, but who knows really better than RCI.

HAL provides them upon request. It is best to contact ship's services in advance of sailing. It is likely the same for all cruise lines. They all have them available but don't wait until you arrive at the ship, IMO.

I just cruised on Royal Caribbean in March which was less than three months since my hip replacement surgery. The toilets are high enough so using a raised toilet seat was not necessary.

I have to use one all the time.

Our TA contacts HAL 60 days before the cruise and requests one for me. There is a form she has to fill out.

Your TA needs to contact RCI.

There is no charge for them.

When we cruised on a Carnival ship we got a handicapped cabin. We didn't know it was handicapped until we got to it. (We usually book VERY last minute.) The toilet was SO HIGH my 6' husband's feet did not touch the floor when he sat on the toilet! Usually, toilets are now 16" high.

I prefer not to book a handicapped cabin knowing that someone else with more severe handicaps than I have may need that cabin.

We have NEVER booked a cabin knowing it was a handicapped cabin! When we book a few days before the cruise we book a cabin in a location we like. We have NOT known it was a handicapped cabin until we got to the cabin. And, if the criuise ship neeeds a handicapped cabin they will move us to another one. We have been told that and have NO problem with that!
