Whose changing my "bed preference"?

No soon as I change it, close the website, it convert right back to "twin"

Seems the "edit" button is temporary :(

Didn't you hear about the new Carnival policy about not allowing king size beds anymore because too many women were getting pregnant on cruises????

just kidding.... :)

It's a known issue with the site. The good thing is that, worst case senario, you show up on sailing day and see two twins instead of a king. The room steward will change it for you with no hassle.

Same issue prior to last weeks Breeze cruise. I chatted with my PVP about it prior to cruise. He's like yep, known issue for quite sometime. PVP's and others have complained to "IT" said fix it or get rid of it......Regardless, he's stated that they are setting up most cabins with twins that convert to kings as kings..if folks want em broke back down to twins, that would be done onboard...figuring there'd be less requests for kings to twins vs twins to kings.

I've been having the same issue. I sent an email to Carnival. This is their response.

Thank you for contacting us. We appreciate the opportunity to be of assistance.

We apologize for the challenges you are encountering on our web site. The issue you are encountering has been already reported. Our Internal help desk is aware and is working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Although it shows two twin beds on the front end on our website the back end already shows a King size bed which is what you selected. For the most part the beds are already put together into a King size bed so you don't have to worry.

Thank you for choosing Carnival Cruise Lines and we look forward to welcoming you aboard.

Cordially,

Single beds would be more of a problem.........You need to be very close with 2 in a single bad.

Yep, glitch. Sometimes it sticks, sometimes it doesn't.

Most of the time it doesn't. I've stopped trying to change mine. No biggie. You can just tell the room steward when you get there if it isn't right. That darn Carnival site has its share of glitches! Oy vey!:(

Having the same issue -- finally called and spoke to someone in customer service. She said they were having a problem with this function in the website and that it defaulted to twin. She said they were working on it. Worst case scenario, I guess we just ask our steward to re-do the beds upon boarding.

We have three beds. In our last family cruise they put the two beds together and cot in the corner which gave us no room. My mom was crawling over my dad to get to the John.

Prior to that, we had the beds put along the walls, with one slightly under the dresser/desk. I took a photo of it.

In Sept, the three of us are traveling together again. I emailed a photo of the setup we want to Special Needs. They said they contacted housekeeping to confirm our preference. 1204019086_ImageUploadedByCruiseCriticForums1370367350.738149.jpg.3fde8613497fbe503d7689b0f09c6c59.jpg

Have the same issue on the website keeps coming back separate.

Reminds of my last Glory cruise. 3 women and two men. DW and SIL with Niece in one and myself and Nephew in the other in order to get past guest rate.

So of course my two person male cabin is made up with separate beds.

With my nephew in the cabin, getting his bags, the cabin steward stops by for the normal greet.

When I ask him to put the beds together he looks at me then at Ryan and that back and me and the look on his face was priceless. No worries Carnival training I guess stepped in and he started to say it would be done at turn down when I jumped back in saying how my wife from the other cabin would be sleeping here.

FWIW

I, too, called about it and was told that when you click to edit if it comes up as what you wanted (i.e. king) then you are fine. She told me not to worry about it as long as the button is selected next to the right set up.

Currently, I can't even sign into "Manage My Cruise". My beds were twin, and I changed them, and it was correct yesterday. Trying to check now, and can't get in at all. Oh well.......maybe later.
