taxi fare to LAX International Airport

Does anyone know how much it will cost by taking a taxi from LAX Cruise Terminal to International Airport? (not sure which terminal NCL Pearl will dock, San Pedro?)

And how much it will cost per person if taking the ship shuttle. In other words, which way cheaper?

I am contemplating taking a Pacific Coastal cruise from Vancouver to LAX in Sept.

Any help will be appreciated.

I've used one of the shuttle services, maybe Super Shuttle or Shuttle Express, several times. I think it was $15 per person then. They all have a continuous flow of shuttles running from the dock (San Pedro).

Thanks.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. When I mentioned shuttle, I meant ship bus, I am sure it will cost more than $15 per person.

You will disembark in San Pedro, about 21 miles from LAX, several years ago a taxi was approx. 45.00

NW Pacific:

Thanks.

$45 seems reasonable. I guess ship bus will probably cost more than $45 for two persons.

Ship's shuttle should be about $50 a person - call and get confirmation.

You can book this right up to about the last day of the cruise.

If you are using the cruise line shuttle take advantage of the deal of

putting your airline checked baggage outside your cabin door the night before.

You will not have to mess with your checked baggage til you get to the

airport.

Ship's shuttles normally unless they have a full bus load designated for

one airline will start at the NE corner of the LAX ATO and the last stop will

be at United/Continental in the SE corner. Delta next to last and American

before that. With that routing in mind if you are on United plan on about

30 minutes more time after making the first stop. The time from either

San Pedro or Long Beach will be about 40-45 minutes with moderate

traffic mid day. Early bus trips conflict with Rush hour and later trips fare

much better so don't be in a hurry to get off the ship. Have a leisure

departure breakfast and hopefully you will be on shuttle bus leaving about

10-11am. So your airline departure should be later than 1pm to be comfortable.

Based on prior experience and reports of fellow travelers AND of course

your results may vary - go with the flow - do not rush things - allow time

- relax no need to return to the nuthouse - finish your vacation relaxed

and refreshed !
