Current captain on Eurodam?

Who is the current Eurodam captain. Also anyone who got off recently, how is the ship?

Also any hints for coping with a larger ship than we're used to. Our previous HAL ships have been Volendam and Veendam.

We first cruised Eurodam, when she was new, out of curiousity to see HAL's then newest ship. We expected to see her likely not return. We found we liked her so much more than we expected and have now sailed Eurodam five cruises. :) She's a terrifi ship IMO

Be sure to have dinner in Tamarind and enjoy a cocktail in Silk Den. Both lovely venues.

When going long distances on the ship, for example dining room to show lounge, break up the walk. Walk forward from the dining room to the mid-ship area, then change decks before you continue forward. It really makes the length of the ship seem shorter.

When heading up to the Silk Den or Tamarind, use the correct elevator bank in the first place, or you will have a lot of backtracking to do.

Thanks for the advice:) I already have 2 Tamarind reservations and have the Silk Den on my radar. And the "break up the walk" idea is great! Also the right elevator is a good reminder that not everything is connected. It looks as though it is the center elevators that will get you there. And that Lido deck is the best deck to use to get there. Am I right?

The mid-ship elevators/staircase gets you to the Silk Den/Tamarind. That elevator bank can be accessed from every deck, so it doesn't matter from where you approach it. I came from my cabin on Main Deck, forward.

I did learn, after a few times taking the mid-ship elevator, that I couldn't get to the Internet center from there. :o Had to go forward first.

Henk Keijer is the captain of the Eurodam until early August. Don't know who it is after Aug 6th but Capt Henk will be one of the captains of the Eurodam for the next few years.

Captain Jasper de Vries

Looks as though Captain Bowland has been kicked upstairs. From his linkedin page: "Fleet Captain, Holland America Line, Corporate Marine Quality Assurance

Carnival Corporation January 2013 – Present (7 months)"
