BamaCruiser20 Posted August 29, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2013 Does Carnival still give the 25% OBC on your 25th cruise (or a cruise after your 25th)? If so, I assume it is based on the per person cabin fare and not the entire cost of the cabin. Anyone know if this is still available?

cruzn buckeye Posted August 29, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2013 Nope...that all changed with the new VIFP stuff rolled out Your answer here is wrong. The Milestone program is still in place. 25% onboard credit on your 25th cruise. Or you can take it on a cruise afterwards. You have two years to use it. golfadj Posted August 29, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 29, 2013 Nope...that all changed with the new VIFP stuff rolled out I believe you are incorrect. Still get 25% off cruise fare for 25th cruise but you only get it for one passenger. DW for example would have to get hers on a later cruise
BamaCruiser20 Posted August 29, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted August 29, 2013 Thanks guys! I thought the Milestone perk became a stand alone perk after VIFP changes. Also! Thank you for confirming it is based per person!
BamaCruiser20 Posted August 29, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted August 29, 2013 . You have two years to use it. Thank you buckeye for this information. I didn't know there was a time limit. Great info as usual!

kicia Posted August 29, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 29, 2013 The Milestone program is separate from the VIFP program and it is alive and well. You can use the 25% OBC on your 25th or later cruise and you have two years to use it. It is on the base fare for the person who is achieving Milestone. If a couple achieves Milestone together they can use both awards on the same cruise or it can be used on different cruises. This OBC is non-refundable and must be spent on the cruise or you lose it. If you want to use it on the 25th cruise, call Carnival after your 24th to make sure it is on their records.
CWcruisers Posted August 29, 2013 #10 Share Posted August 29, 2013 That's the time you want to splurge for the nice cabin. My DH and I each used it for aft wraps on two different cruises.

Not to thread steal, but how was the Freedom? Congrats on the Milestone!! It was a lot of fun - what amounts to my review is HERE - though the "review" is spread over multiple pages. Actually we just booked a return visit yesterday for the week before Thanksgiving (on another Premier Casino sailing)! Tom
golfadj Posted August 29, 2013 #17 Share Posted August 29, 2013 That doesn't make sense to me (as in that does not seem right/fair)! Tom We should reach 25 next year and had been thinking about using it for Hawaii or Europe but if only one of us gets the 25% at a time perhaps not worth it. SkyMaster Posted August 29, 2013 #19 Share Posted August 29, 2013 Since the 25% is in the form of an OBC, and is non refundable, it might be better to take it on two separate cruises. I'm almost positive that the lovely Mrs. Jones and I took ours on the same cruise as well, but it's been a few years ago. We're coming up on the 50% one before long! "SKY"
JaniceB Posted August 29, 2013 #20 Share Posted August 29, 2013 It might be better to use the credit seperately if you are both reaching at the same time. It might be hard to spend all that OBC on one cruise.
tattoos Posted August 29, 2013 #21 Share Posted August 29, 2013 I received my Milestone reward letter in the mail a few months after going on my 24th cruise. I did not apply it on my 25th cruise because it was only a 3 nighter so I waited to use it on my next cruise which was a 7 nighter.
