!!SAM!! Posted August 29, 2013 #27 Share Posted August 29, 2013 Your answer here is wrong. The Milestone program is still in place. 25% onboard credit on your 25th cruise. Or you can take it on a cruise afterwards. You have two years to use it.[/quoteCan you get $100 OBC for booking your 25th cruise (7 Days) while on a cruise and also get the 25% OBC ? Yes it is combinable with any other obc you might have.

tattoos Posted August 29, 2013 #29 Share Posted August 29, 2013 On my cruise, I used an FCC and my Milestone award...got my $100 off the cruise price, $100 OBC and 25% OBC off my cruise fare (minus port fees and taxes).
near the beach Posted August 29, 2013 #30 Share Posted August 29, 2013 If I understand it right. I still pay full price for the cruise. But I get OBC for 25% of the price of my fare.
SkyMaster Posted August 29, 2013 #31 Share Posted August 29, 2013 If I understand it right. I still pay full price for the cruise. But I get OBC for 25% of the price of my fare. Yep, it's 25% of the BASE FARE, not including port charges, taxes, etc. Let's assume the base fare is $1000 per person, and it's you and your spouse. That would make it $2000 + the taxes, port charges, etc, for an assumed total of $2400. You'd still only get 25% of YOUR base fare, or an OBC of $250. If both of you were celebrating your Milestone Cruise, and they do indeed allow it, then you'd have an OBC of $500. (Non refundable) "SKY"
NavarreCruiser Posted August 29, 2013 #32 Share Posted August 29, 2013 DW and I will reach our 25th at same time and have been told by Carnival we cannot use the awards on the same cruise. This is incorrect (What a surprise, someone at Carnival gave out misinformation!!!). We used both our 25% credits on the same Med. cruise a couple of years ago. We are using my 50% milestone credit on a northern TA next month. When I called the Diamond desk the rep. asked me if we wanted to use both credits on that cruise. Because of other OBC we decided to save it, but both could have been used on the same cruise.

SkyMaster Posted August 29, 2013 #34 Share Posted August 29, 2013 Very interesting, perhaps it is worthwhile saving it for new ship That's exactly what I'm going to do with my 50%. We usually have a fairly hefty OBC anyway, with the "book onboard", Stockholders OBC, Military, and whatever else we can stir up. It makes perfect sense to split them up into two separate cruises. ;) "SKY"

cruzn buckeye Posted August 29, 2013 #36 Share Posted August 29, 2013 Do you get the Milestone letter on your 24th cruise or in the mail afterwards? Next November will be my 25th! I got my Milestone letter in the mail about 3 weeks after I returned home from my 24th cruise.
CWcruisers Posted August 30, 2013 #37 Share Posted August 30, 2013 I would look to do this on a longer European or TA cruise Carnival is leaving Europe after this year and TA cruises are usually reasonably priced because a number of people are unable to take that much time off. I did a 15 day TA in a balcony for $799/person. Meanwhile, those suites can be quite pricey.
kicia Posted August 30, 2013 #38 Share Posted August 30, 2013 Milestone is still by number of cruises and not number of days. The Milestone and VIFP programs are completely separate. DW and I will reach our 25th at same time and have been told by Carnival we cannot use the awards on the same cruise. We used both of ours on the same cruise on the Magic in the Med. in 2011. Your answer here is wrong. You can combine as many different kinds of OBC as you can get. We had Early Saver price drops, which were refundable; stockholder, future cruise certificate, and Milestone which are all non-refundable.
near the beach Posted August 30, 2013 #39 Share Posted August 30, 2013 It may pay us to get a more expensive cabin for two cruises and get on board credit twice. I am glad there are a lot of options. However it is still a long ways off to milestone for us.

Vettebuf Posted August 30, 2013 #41 Share Posted August 30, 2013 This thread got me thinking that maybe I should squeeze in some extra cruises between now and the Vista med cruise I want to take in 2016. A 3 and 4 day B2B would make the Vista number 25 for us.

Rare jimbo5544 Posted August 30, 2013 #44 Share Posted August 30, 2013 Typically they sail Europe and Meditteranean their first season. True, but typically they are not turned over (the ships to the cruiseline) in November. Not many cruiselines tour the Med that time of year. Don't disagree, it will be interesting to see what happens. We are going to a TA event on the Sunshine in NO in November. I will ask some people in upper management who will be there (if we don't hear anything in the interim). Rare jimbo5544 Posted August 30, 2013 #47 Share Posted August 30, 2013 Congrats on the Milestone!! It was a lot of fun - what amounts to my review is HERE - though the "review" is spread over multiple pages. Actually we just booked a return visit yesterday for the week before Thanksgiving (on another Premier Casino sailing)! Tom Missed your reply until just now. I will read it. Thanks for the congrats. Vettebuf Posted August 30, 2013 #48 Share Posted August 30, 2013 What makes you think there will be a Vista med cruise in 2016? Perhaps I should have said TA cruise. Same thing to me. I get to go to Europe. If it's a TA, I'll go a few days early and wind up in the states after it's over. If they have any med cruises and that's what I choose, I'll still go a few days early and wind up back in the states after I get off the plane. Elaine515 Posted October 8, 2013 #50 Share Posted October 8, 2013 I got off my 24th cruise on 8/18/13 and have not received anything from Carnival about a discount for my 25th. I am already booked for 2/1/14, not sure I want to use it but should I wait or call someone ? Thanks
