las313 Posted August 30, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2013 We will be boarding the Island Princess on Sept 25th. Even thought it says no boarding until 1 pm, how early can we arrive? We are going aboard via wheelchair. Will that allow us to get directly on board early? Thanks. Louise
CruiserBruce Posted August 30, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2013 As that is a Princess policy question, and has very little to do with the port, I would be researching on the Princess board.
Rare Keith1010 Posted August 31, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2013 I would arrive to the pier by 11:00 AM. Boarding should commence between 11:30 AM and Noon. I would ask on the Princess Board if priority is given to someone in a wheelchair. Keith
skandls Posted September 1, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 1, 2013 On most of the cruises I have seen wheelchair users given special checkin and boarding. If you want to avoid waiting I would plan on a slightly later arrival. Maybe 11:30 or 12:00. You may still have delays if there are problems with clearing the ship. I'm not sure about wheelchair access but I'm sure they will direct you when you arrive.
