Customer Goodwill OBC

I mentioned this on another thread but thought I would start this one to see if anyone else has seen this.

 

I was checking our balance on an upcoming cruise and noticed the OBCs were higher than previously posted. We booked the cruise with the 'new' FCCs that result in $50 per person in a balcony for a 10-day cruise. But in our Personalizer, it shows the FCC OBC and under that, a "Customer Goodwill" OBC also for $50 for each of us. Not complaining!! And, I printed the page just in case it mysteriously goes away.

 

Anyone else seeing an increase in OBC??

Congratulations on the new credit. You don't say which cruise the credit was applied. I just checked my holiday cruise on the Grand and I still have the same credit.

 

Maybe something new.

Tom- We are sailing on the Emerald in April 2014. We just became Platinum after our last cruise but don't think that has anything to do with it. I'll just enjoy the extra $$!

Not us. Our FCC is listed as "Onboard Sales Promotion." Also listed is an additional OBC shown as "Travel Agent Promotion." A few years ago we had an issue with Princess and they provided us with a "Customer Goodwill OBC." Did you have any letters or issues with them?

No, we haven't had any issues with Princess. Can't believe we are the only ones to get this. I will have to check with our friends we always cruise with and see if they have it.

We have three booked cruises at this time. The first one has no OBC added. The second one has a travel agent promotion added. The third one has an onboard credit promotion added. I have no idea how these came to be added but am most grateful to Princess for them.

Third one was probably a Princess promotion at the time you booked.

I also received OBC in addition for the promotion. They said it was a welcome back gift after not cruising with them for 5 years. It is a very generous welcome back gift. That's why I love princess!

I did notice that my sailing is part of the "Endless Summer" Sale and it includes $50 OBC. However, the price on the 'sale' is $150 over what we paid so I didn't look into a re-fare. :D Maybe that's why we got the "goodwill" OBC.
