We did a Sitka to Sitka roundtrip cruise during the first week of this month and really enjoyed it. I wanted to share our experience with those who might be interested in reading about it and seeing photos. Debbie

Just finished your blogs. They are wonderful -- you did an excellent job. Pictures are great.

Thank you for taking the time to put all this together.

Enjoyed your review - thanks for sharing. You sure did well on the bear sightings for your trip!

We did a small ship cruise in May (Un-Cruise Adventures), and saw this exciting site in Frederick Sound one evening as we watched the humpbacks circle the Admiralty Dream. It sounds like you had a similar experience. Here are a couple of photos:

This is a maximum crop showing how close the whale was:

Wow! Great photos! So, you knew exactly what I was talking about when I described the whale right outside my window in Frederick Sound. Those are some amazing pictures. Thanks! We really did get lucky with the bear sightings and a little spoiled I think.

We did a cruise on her maybe 7 years back when she had a different name and was owned by a different company. It was our first cruise in Alaska and we loved the ship and the itinerary.

She was out of the cruising business for a while and I am glad that she is back. When we took the Alaska Marine Highway ferry back from Haines to Prince Rupert, we saw her in Juneau. By the way, you should try cruising Alaska on one of their ferries some time. It is a totally different experience from a cruise ship trip.

Since our cruise on the we have been back to Alaska many times both cruising and driving and taking our 10 year old granddaughter. However, your first is always your best. Glad you enjoyed your trip.
