suntan Posted October 4, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2013 We will be sailing in about a month's time and this is our first time on the Crown. Which bar/lounge would you recommend for a pre-dinner cocktail? We are booked in the main dining room at 6pm. Thank you.

The Adagio on the Crown will be much less crowded (more than likely completely deserted, but they do begin bar service in the late afternoon...). Mr. Bubble Posted October 4, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 4, 2013 During our summer Baltic cruise in July we were regular fixtures at Skywalker's pre-dinner. Great appetizers and a wonderful view. NOTE: There were restrictions as to who may attend - limited to certain levels of Captain's Circle. MJ
Elkhorn20fan Posted October 4, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 4, 2013 We love Adagio for a before dinner drink, not a lot of people, so the staff have lots of time to talk. Always had great, friendly service. Great stuffed mushrooms and breadsticks with your drinks!!!!!!!!! If it is a nice night, try outriggers at the back of the ship, great sunsets!!!!!!!!!!!! Pam in CA Posted October 5, 2013 #6 Share Posted October 5, 2013 Adagio Lounge. It's quiet, there's a piano player or guitarist, very comfortable chairs and couches. They are the only bar to serve stuffed olives and breadsticks with drinks.
Rare JimmyVWine Posted October 5, 2013 #7 Share Posted October 5, 2013 Adagio, no question. Wish all Grand Class ships had one. If the weather is nice, take your drink outside.

As much as we enjoy going to Crooner's, the Adagio Lounge is a great place to go for a quiet drink before dinner after a busy day in port. :) LuLu ~~~~

OCruisers Posted October 5, 2013 #15 Share Posted October 5, 2013 One of the things we really like about Crooner's is that it is open and not walled in. :) LuLu ~~~~
Shogun Posted October 5, 2013 #16 Share Posted October 5, 2013 Hi All Another vote for Adagio before and after diner, and if you like order a dessert from Sabatinis yours Shogun
Rare JimmyVWine Posted October 5, 2013 #17 Share Posted October 5, 2013 ... and if you like order a dessert from Sabatinis yours Shogun What do they charge for that? Never considered this option but it is a brilliant idea when the desserts in the MDR don't strike a chord.
