Can I make this Miami Flight....

Hello everyone... We get off the Silhouette March 16 in Fort Lauderdale and to get a decent price on the flights we would need to fly home from Miami at 10:50am.. Is that pushing it to close..

You'll get better responses on the FLA departure board, but the short answer is YES it is TOO CLOSE!!!! :eek:

 

For a 10:50 flight from MIA you need to be at the airport NLT 9:20 (and MUCH earlier is better if you have ever seen the chaos known as TSA security lines at MIA). To be at the airport by 9:20 means in a cab/limo/shuttle, with bags and rolling by about 8:30 (8:15 or earlier on a week day with rush hour traffic).

 

IF you carry your bags off, and IF the ship is not delayed, and IF there are no customs/immigration delays, and IF your port to airport transportation works without a problem you could make a 10:50 flight from MIA. Do you want to spend your cruise worried about making your flight home? :confused:

 

Do yourself a favour and book a flight leaving out of FLL or after about noon from MIA. ;)

We wouldn't try that. How lucky do you feel? What are the alternatives if you miss the flight? How many in your party? How many at stand by seats would you need if you miss it?

All I can say is I would never schedule that. No decent airfare from FLL? Even factoring in the extra ground transportation cost from FLL to MIA?

There is a good probability that you would not make this flight.

 

I would not do it.

Too close for comfort. What a terrible way to finish a relaxing vacation, stressing out to make a flight.

I don't think I would even try out of FLL and MIA is even riskier.

Smart move...Perfect time!!! No need to self disembark. Set up your disembarkation for 8-8:15 and you will be there in plenty of time.
