If it's a hire, just return it when you get to Miami and get another rental if needed when you return. If it's your personal car, perhaps paring in one of the park and fly lots up by the airport and taking a cab to the hotel would be an option. Autocorrect responsible for most typos... Holidaymanbristol Posted November 10, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted November 10, 2013 Hi rental for five days,a caddy,we will use the car on a daily basis. I had a look on google seems to be places that you can park at a fraction of the price the hotel wants to charge.

Why would you pay the rental fee and the parking fee to keep the rental while you are cruising? Turn it in the night before the cruise and get another rental when you return. Rare LHT28 Posted November 10, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 10, 2013 If you are staying right downtown you can use the free Metro mover or trolley in the area http://www.miamidda.com/main_getting_around.asp Not sure where you would be driving to that a car is required .. I would stay outside of the downtown core you may find places with free parking
Langley Cruisers Posted November 10, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 10, 2013 ..Crazy never been charged for hotel parking when staying in America before:mad:.... Many hotels in North America do not charge for parking, but many do. Although the rate is high, this is not unusual. It is what it is - sorry you are angry. Langley Cruisers Posted November 10, 2013 #9 Share Posted November 10, 2013 Hi we are staying in miami for a week before the cruise, then dropping car at port when we board for the following week. Not actually at the port though, right? No rental car company has a facility within the Port of Miami, just to help you with your planning. :)

I will check with them where we drop car off
cb at sea Posted November 11, 2013 #11 Share Posted November 11, 2013 Many hotels in big cities charge parking fees.......it's not unusual! If you have a rental car, pay the hotel fees while you're using the car, but return it before the cruise.....have the rental company take you to the ship!
