Absolutely gorgeous day all the way around. Lots of great conversation, perfect weather, Deck 16 outdoor eateries and pool deck areas busy, five of the six cabanas rented in the Retreat, and so much going on today it's been hard to keep up. Ate breakfast in the International Cafe, lunch at Trident Grill and Prego (hamburgers and pizza were actually quite good), and I'm still contemplating Fondue's for dinner.

Tomorrow is Turn-Around Day and we are suppose to have our new cruise cards and information letter delivered to our staterooms around 5pm. It will be interesting to see how many are actually doing a B2B but I know of five from our Roll Call, myself included.

I did get pictures of the Concierge Lounge and Wedding Chapel and will post them tomorrow, and while making advanced reservations for our group for Monday night caught a glimpse of the Sabatini's Breakfast Menu for suite guests.

All pictures posted here have been taken with my iPhone 5.

And the manager of the photo gallery, in handing over the DVD from the 10/29 M&G, said that I must have a lot of friends. I can't wait to get home and watch this in the privacy of my apartment. I'm sure there will be tears of joy, happiness, and laughter. You guys are the greatest. Thank you! ;) :D

David, I hope that does NOT come as a surprise to you! You DO have a lot of friends! Friends that love you deeply and appreciate the dedication that you have shown to US, your friends. You deserve nothing less than the sincere tributes and gifts that we offer to you for your service to us, the cruising public! I for one, would do it all over again!! I look forward to keeping in touch with you for ..... well, forever! You are a friend, David, and I want to keep it that way!

Well, if that's the one I left for you, I am so glad that the staff at the video desk realized the importance and personal appreciation we all have for you. The label is personalized rather than merely stating "Cruise Critic Meet & Greet" - "Maiden Caribbean Voyage 2013". I hope you enjoy it, David. The videographer I hired seemed to really enjoy filming it!!

ALL in-transit (B2B) passengers get a letter like this. Please review it for readability, understandability and whatever else you may think makes it nearly impossible to understand! (not much, huh???) Then, while you are waiting in the "cattle pen" at Port Everglades on Sunday morning, and waiting for the stragglers to get off the ship, ask yourself again, What the heck was so hard to understand here?????? But rest assured, there WILL be someone who just doesn't get it, or just doesn't read it, or just doesn't care, and will delay the in-transit process. I strongly suggest you "rag the heck out of them" for their actions as they disembark, then ignore them for the rest of the cruise!! ((Probably won't make a difference to them as they are brain-numb anyway!))

Dave, Nice to see you got your paperwork and new card. I'm glad they decided to allow you to stay on the ship for another go. :D

It will be interesting to hear how many are doing the B2B. Surprisingly we had over 300 do a B2B with us.

Enjoy your second week and do some more exploring.

Dave, everyday I look forward to reading your updates on the Royal, plus those fantastic pictures. I'm glad to know we still have another week of your adventure to come. Your right about the Beatlemaniacs, one of the best shows I've seen on a cruise. We had a lot of fun dancing that night in the Piazza (Nov.10th cruise). Also sorry to hear about Cruise Director Samantha Hawker-Thomas family emergency. She is one of the best cruise directors around.

Cheers - Ken & Darlene

Dave

Advice for tomorrow.

Order room service tonight. Stay in your cabin until 8:00, then go to the dining room for breakfast #2. The buffet will be a zoo.

When they kick you out of the dining room get off the ship and walk over to Walgreens instead of waiting in the terminal. By the time you get back you can probably walk right onto the ship and enjoy the rest of your day!

I don't remember them having room service breakfast on disembarkation morning but it wouldn't be the 1st time I was wrong. ;)

On a Ft Lauderdale turnaround day we walked to Total Wine & Publix. We returned after 11:00 & had to wait until noon. The reason was the same as the recently discussed HAL delay...passengers who refuse to follow the procedure to disembark. They had to be locate & escorted off the ship to complete the procedure before anyone can reboard the ship.

3rd line from the bottom.

Well kept secret - sh-h-h-!;)

That'll teach me to not post as much from my iPhone because the minuscule CC Tapatalk images are unreadible. :o

Thanks...sh-h-h for me & hope to do it on the Sapphire next month during an LA turnaround day. :) We may take the short walk to tour the battleship USS Iowa.

Fondues was an interesting 90 minute experience. After an appetizer of German Potato Pancakes with cured salmon came the 'main course' Champagne and Swiss Cheese fondue with chicken, bratwurst, and baguette dippers, followed by a 'desert' of Chocolate Fondue with choux puffs, strawberries, marshmallows, and pineapple. Included was a large shot of (very strong) Kirschwasser cherry brandy. It was very filling and quite tasty, but although worth doing once, I'm not quite sure I see that it was worth $20 for me as a solo diner. Maybe I'm wrong here and someone can point out where I'm wrong or missing something.

I watched tonight's production show 'Spectacular' and it ran approximately 40 minutes and was very entertaining. Not sure how to categorize the theme, but it was a little of everything from Burlesque to Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.

The halls are filled with luggage, and that will be me next week, but for the time being here are a few more pictures from today. More to come upon after our return to Fort Lauderale...one week down, one more to go!!!

Dave, I thoroughly enjoyed the first leg of your back to back. I have never seen anyone eat so much food on a cruise ship :) And your pictures are a tribute to the quality of an iphone. Unbelievable that all those pictures were taken with only a cell phone. I have to say you do know how to use a camera, and the results would be great regardless of camera used.

Looking forward to the next segment.
