Christmas e-mail

Has anyone gotten their Christmas e-mail from HAL? We got ours today.

Very disappointed in it. Seasons Greetings and then a picture of either the Club Cabana or Retreat Cabana.

I would rather have seen a beautifully decorated area from any HAL ship.

Our Christmas card from Princess -- regular mail -- was much prettier.

I'm not surprised at all that there was no overtly religious aspect to the Greeting sent. People of many faiths cruise on HAL ships, so a generic Seasons Greetings is appropriate. This is a festive holiday time of year for all, not just Christians, so I can understand how and why HAL took this approach. As for a picture of cabanas, it sounds like they could have shown the ship at holiday time to better advantage

I went back and opened it - cookies be dam-med! Happy Holidays! Only 295 days to my next mariner level. I'll do my best ...:D

Now that you mention it......

We are Five Star Mariner and they wrote in the e-mail how many days until we reach the next Mariner Level. Is there one after Five Star?

(.....aside from President's Club but that is something different.)

Same here.

Add the number you have plus the number they say you need to reach the next level. Mine equals 1400 : President's Club.

So, does this demonstrate that HAL sees President's Club as 6 star?

No Holiday email for us :( I did get one to my work email from HAL on Thursday The actual email is kind of festive, more for New Years but then I think the video attached is what you are all talking about.

Lisa This is the came as I received. From the sound of it this is what everyone is receiving.

Not the most Christmasy greeting, but appreciated. A nice scene from a decorated ship would have been my choice, but then they never do ask my opinion, for some reason!

That's what I wonder.

Same as you........ ours would come to 1400 days. I think it might mean President's Club. I really don't know though.

Sail

Looks as if it definitely means President's Club. Rather straightforward. Why don't you phone them on Monday and inquire.

No.... I wouldn't bother them about that. :)

But you should feel free, if you wish. :D

Agree about all the different faiths.

But a picture of people in a cabana -- HAL has so many beautiful areas on their ships that could have been shown. Like one of the Atriums.
