Port Canaveral: Best place to eat and watch the ships leave

Hello,

We are sailing out of Port Canaveral for Spring Break. Our ship leaves on Sunday (Freedom of the Seas) but we have friends departing on Disney on Saturday afternoon.

We thought it would be fun to head down and watch them sail away.

Suggestions?

Fishlips, Grill's, Rusty's.

FishLips, Rusty's, and Grills are all within a one block strip and the locals are pretty much equally split on which they prefer.

Food is similar but some folks have a favorite. For example we like Grills best as spousal unit likes their grilled scallops wrapped in bacon (and Grills does not fry {much} ... they GRILL their food). All 3 have weekend entertainment and nice decks waterside. Even for regulars, if their fav' is very busy they'll just mosey down to the next.

Milikens is a bit farther to the west, and the prices a wee bit higher . . . IMO less kid friendly then the other 3

All 4 have web sites and you can see menu and prices.

Departing ships pass Mil's first and Grills last but we're only talking 10 minutes or so end to end!

The Port Canaveral webcam is on the roof of Fishlips

We found Fishlips thanks to the Port Canaveral Webcam. Our family's been there a couple of times - it's a little on the spendy side, but the food was very good and the views were spectacular. It's our favorite place to hang out on the days we visit Port Canaveral but won't be leaving on a cruise.
