trickyoat Posted January 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2014 Royal Princess doing Round UK cruises in 2015, now booked 3 times into Kirkwall, Orkney en-route twice from Greenock to Invergordon, and later in September from Belfast to Invergordon. Ruby also routed with similar cruises round UK. Incidentally Ruby booked something like 9 times into Le Harve on what looks like Round UK cruises in 2016, so it seems demand for this route is well and truly on the up! trickyoat Posted January 5, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted January 5, 2014 No worries, what with all the other cruise lines that are doing this route everyone is going to be spoilt for choice. On a side note as a Shetlander it's a shame we get forgotten about as we are part of the UK too!.. perhaps they should rename the cruise Round UK Mainland instead! ;)
trickyoat Posted January 9, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted January 9, 2014 Regal Princess doing a northern transatlantic in September 2015 by the looks of it as she's booked into Reykjavik. :)
shipfriend_max Posted January 10, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 10, 2014 (edited) OK, someone has already posted the links. Than it is also very likely that ROYAL PRINCESS is doing the Norway/North-Cape-itinerary. And REGAL to the Baltics, as far as it looks like - WOW!!!! :) Does anyone have an idea where RUBY PRINCESS could sail than?? Maybe she is also based at Southampton and replaces EMERALD?? Or she could also be moved to Alaska, maybe she replaces ISLAND PRINCESS, which is scheduled for Funchal in 2015. trickyoat Posted January 31, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted January 31, 2014 Caribbean Princess must be doing a Northern Transatlantic crossing as she's booked into Lerwick & Reykjavik also in September 2015.
Working 2 Cruise Posted January 31, 2014 #9 Share Posted January 31, 2014 I've read on these boards that the Ruby would be doing Alaska... I guess we just have to wait until March or April when the new itineraries are released...
diplomats Posted January 31, 2014 #10 Share Posted January 31, 2014 Ruby Princess is stopping in Lerwick Sept 2014 on N Atlantic crossing Southhampton to New York. Any suggestions on how to spend the day in Lerwick. Thanks
orgutierrez Posted January 31, 2014 #11 Share Posted January 31, 2014 Does that mean that the Royal Princess will be doing British Isles from UK and the Ruby as well? When will 2015 itineraries come out?
Jemnibabe Posted January 31, 2014 #12 Share Posted January 31, 2014 Regal Princess doing a northern transatlantic in September 2015 by the looks of it as she's booked into Reykjavik. :) Thanks for the information. Was hoping to do a May 2015 TA on the Regal to Venice. Does that look possible or what ship might be doing something like that? Just curious. Do you know when the 2015 schedules will be available? Rare Coral Posted February 1, 2014 #14 Share Posted February 1, 2014 Princess is weird (inconsistent) in how they release schedules. Sometimes they released everything all at once and other times they gradually release itineraries such as Europe first, then Alaska, then Caribbean over a period of several weeks/months. I think I heard they are going to gradually release schedules this year starting in February (as opposed to releasing everything in one day). I don't remember who I heard this from - hopefully it is true.

That is according to my PVP at Princess . To get the Ruby to the west coast they would have to cancel her Caribbean for Feb to April 2015.
ch09 Posted February 1, 2014 #16 Share Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) Thanks for the information. Was hoping to do a May 2015 TA on the Regal to Venice. Does that look possible or what ship might be doing something like that? Just curious. Do you know when the 2015 schedules will be available? Judy from SW Florida The Regal will not be going to Venice in 2015 since Venice is banning ships like the Regal that are bigger than 92,000 tons. In the other post, it was mentioned the Island calling in Funchal, which it would be either the Island or the Coral that does this TA if Princess continues to do Venice sailings next year. heatherbelle Posted February 1, 2014 #19 Share Posted February 1, 2014 Can anyone find any Med port schedules which show what ship is where. Someone posted a screen shot for the Port of Rome, but I have tried googling it and can't find it. I was hoping to try Princess in the Med next year, but there is no way living in the UK that I want to do a cruise around the UK. For all those thinking about it, be prepared for cold weather, rough seas and lots of rain, any sunshine is a bonus. Yes the UK has some beautiful countryside, but it tends to be cold and wet, even in the summer. Although last year we did manage z80 degrees for three weeks. shipfriend_max Posted February 1, 2014 #21 Share Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) I am wondering about following things: -ROYAL PRINCESS is listed every 12th day in Le Havre, except the 25th of June 2015, which would be the time for the North Cape/Norway itinerary (see RUBY PRINCESS, June 16, 2014). http://www.havre-port.com/show/2077 -But CARIBBEAN PRINCESS is listed at Honningsvag (port of North Cape) and several other Norwegian ports, look here: http://www.cruise-norway.no/Arrivals.aspx?zone=28&start=21.06.2015&end=21.06.2015&ports=28 http://nordkapphavn.no/ Also CARIBBEAN PRINCESS is listed in Rome/Civitavecchia for some dates in summer 2015... So could it be that CARIBBEAN PRINCESS replaces EMERALD PRINCESS out of Southampton in 2015, or may Princess base three ships out of Southampton?? -ISLAND PRINCESS is still listed in Civitavecchia/Rome for several dates, although, according to rumors, she is due to stay in Alaska, as well as CORAL PRINCESS... .confused: Also this link is quite interesting: http://www.gibraltarport.com/cruise/schedules So many questions - help!!!:confused: Edited February 1, 2014 by celebrity_fan
heatherbelle Posted February 1, 2014 #22 Share Posted February 1, 2014 We need to find Southampton, Venice, Istanbul port guides. Been looking on and off all day. Just thought I had worked out which cabin I was gonna have and then didn't like the bed configuration. The Emerald looks a bit tatty too. Off to have a nosey on the RCL forum. Although I really want to go to Istanbul and I think it's only Princess and NCL that go there and their ships are old ones too. I like new and shiny, but not posh. Celebrity will be too stuffy for us.

Remember that Venice is banning cruise ships that exceeds 96,000 tons beginning in December 2014, so the Island will be the one that likely does the Barcelona to Venice sailings next year. Sent from my iPad using Cruise Critic Forums mobile app Yes, that's what I am assuming too, that ISLAND's Alcruises until May 2015 could be cancelled. Also I think that the Caribbean itineraries of RUBY PRINCESS in Feb - Apr will be cancelled and that she will be transferred to the US-West-Coast via South America. Rare Cruise Junky Posted February 2, 2014 #25 Share Posted February 2, 2014 I can only hope that Princess offers up some new European Itineraries for 2015. I'm so tired of the same ole same ole that they've been doing for years. I hope they take a page out of Celebrity's book and mix things up a bit.
