Boatingmom Posted February 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2014 So...What's the deal. Can anybody use the Lounge:confused: Is it different from the C & A Lounge??
Rare LMaxwell Posted February 4, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2014 Open for all, it is the signature lounge on Royal Caribbean ships. On occasion is may be closed for a private event, but it is not designated normally as a C&A lounge. Great spot and usually the late night hot spot. leaveitallbehind Posted February 4, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) As mentioned, it is open to all and is a no charge venue. Often, different bands play there at night and with RCI ships that don't have a separate night club venue, the VCL will be used late night for that. The C & A lounge your refer to is the Diamond Club, which eventually on all ships (except Majesty) will be a separate private access lounge for C & A Diamond and above members. Many ships have that now, and it is often located in the VCL. On ships that don't yet have that, a Diamond Event for C & A Diamond and above members will be usually held in the VCL, typically from 5:00 - 8:30 PM Edited February 4, 2014 by leaveitallbehind
Rala Posted February 4, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 4, 2014 The Viking Crown is used for overflow from the Diamond Lounge (also located in a separate room off the Viking Crown). We recently returned from a BtoB on Indy (14 nights total) and the Viking Crown was closed every evening to all but Diamond, Dplus and Pinnacle C&A members from 5pm to 8:30 pm. It is open to all passengers for the rest of the day (and night). This situation also happened on Enchantment last Feb. :)
wmp.dll Posted February 4, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 4, 2014 If you've never been up there definitely go. The views are awesome, you get to look right over the entire ship pretty much. I loved going up there before dinner and putting a couple dirty Hendricks martini's back before endulging in a generous portion of shrimp cocktail from the main dining room.
