Some kind of boarding delay. The just started calling numbers. Never seen so many waiting in a terminal for a HAL cruise.

Back home from Palm Springs and into the Minnesota SNOW..

 

Our flight had to wait to let the President's plane land...kind of exciting, got to see Airforce One....

Going to be a lot of late pax in FLL today. Only one runway open and incoming flights are all delayed. There are a lot of unhappy people on our flight today. I would never fly in on the same day.

FLL's new north runway 10R/28L isn't scheduled to open until 2018. While they're building it, they had to close the old secondary runway and a crossing runway.

 

Most of today's delays are from weather elsewhere.

Are you talking about only one runway open at FLL Elsie? I'm only familiar with one runway in use at this time at FLL for commercial flights and that would be 10L/28R depending on wind conditions
