Just booked our first Celebrity on Reflection. Have some questions about the Captains Club Lounge.

We are Diamond RCCL and we are automatically given Elite status on Celebrity. Just wanting to see the lounge where the cocktail hours are held and comments on it. I see it seems to be on Deck 5 right by the elevators....any pics? Sorry but the search engine on CC seems to be disabled at the moment so I can't do a search for this info.

Thanks:D

Celebrity does not have a dedicated Captains Club lounge as Royal does on any of their ships. The CC functions for the most part are held in Michaels Club as the primary location. This may change due to the number of Elites on board, may be one of the Specialty restaurants, the sky lounges (different names on different ships) or they may just hand out vouchers if there are large amounts of Elites on board. You will receive a letter in your stateroom advising you where the events will be held.

It should also be remembered that Captains Club is making some changes so locations may also be changed because they are setting up dedicated rooms for Zenith members, VIPS and Suites.

Also, you should be aware that you do not automatically get Elite status. You have to get a Capains Club number and have it associated with any reservation you have.

Finally, the CC location on deck 5 is the Captains Club desk.

The location you see on the deck plan on deck 5 is the Captains Club hostess's office, not a passenger lounge. The Elite cocktail hour (5-7) is normally held in the Sky lounge.

Already have our numbers.

ON the deck plan of Reflection there is a "Captains Club" right behind Michaels'35nbtpi.jpg

Now back to my original request:

Does anyone have any photos of this room? Thank you...

My original answer was correct, that is the Captains Club office or desk, take your pick.

This is just an office, not a lounge (Called Destinations). The Elite, Elite Plus happy hour usually is held in the Sky Lounge on deck 14.

Enjoy!

I accept the answer that that compartment is an office, but I was just asking for pictures of the area where the function is held...if you re read my original question.

Twice you asked for pictures of the room on Deck 5 and were told it was an office. The point is that you will not know what the room is where the functions are held until you get on board the ship. There will be a letter in your room, you should also understand that the hours in the morning are limited and the evening hours are 5 to 7 and they do not hold this event every evening.

As per previous posters, Celebrity doesn't have a cabins club (dedicated) lounge. Typically on M class ships Captains Club Functions are held in Michaels Club. For S class, including the reflection, typically you have your "daily" cocktail event from 5-7 PM most nights, except as posted in the Sky lounge. Unfortunately on the Reflection, since celebrity took half the sky lounge for suites, the venue has a greatly reduced size. The other ships have full sized sky lounges.

Also on RC I recall daily cocktail events being held in the Jazz Club on the Allure and Oasis. They do also have the room above the promenade for cappaccino from a machine, not a real professional cappicino machine like starbucks, and a light continental breakfast. Also I believe a honor bar for some cocktails. The cocktail reception in the Jazz club on the Allure and Oasis was much nicer then Celebrity. Celebrity however, offers Elite members a nice continental breakfast including cappaccino every morning, not from a coffee dispenser machine, like RC ( except day of departure) in the Tuscan grill.

The captains club hostess/host has a small desk not a room in the area of your diagram. She/he is also available by telephone on the ship.

Enjoy your cruise.

We are Elite status. Would it be good or little value to purchase Premium Beverage Package in light of the 5 to 7 PM cocktail reception?

Thanks

Depends on how much you drink. Do you have beer during the day while at the pool or the casino, wine for dinner, after dinner drinks, frequent the Martini Bar, do lots of specialty coffees or bottled waters during the day, etc.?

Yes. The drinks served at Elite Cocktail area are very limited, the Martini's are nothing like those available at other venues. Not at all like the drinks you can get at the bars including the Martini Bar and Molecular Bar. In addition, remember you get all speciality coffees in the restaurants and Cafe al Baccio. You get premium unlimited bottled water, like Perrier and Pellegrino. Fresh OJ if you want it at buffet area- Bottled Soda. Wine if you want is also available.

If you remember your last cruise, then it probably wouldn't pay to buy the premium beverage package :)

You really do have to drink more than a fair amount to actually save money. Now, some get the package so they just don't have to think about what they are spending...but it may just be cheaper to buy the drinks as you want them.

I would just estimate how many drinks you normally consume in addition to the elite cocktail hour, figure their cost& see if the cost of the beverage plan is justified. I am not a teatotaler by any means, but have never been able to justify the package for me. Even if it is part of a promotion, I'd rather take the OBC.

Thanks all.

Last we cruised the beverage package wasn't available. I forgot about the bottled water. That might be what puts it into good value. I estimated that we were a bit below break even, but I hadn't calculated the water. My wife does prefer (require) Grey Goose in her martinis so it sounds like a winner for us.

Thanks again.
