JoeLongIsland Posted March 26, 2014 #151 Share Posted March 26, 2014 Upon boarding I'd rather go to a bar than the buffet so can the package be purchased immediately. :D I am also wondering this. Half of the first day is gone by the time you get on the ship.
Rare Cruise Junky Posted March 26, 2014 #152 Share Posted March 26, 2014 I am also wondering this. Half of the first day is gone by the time you get on the ship. You can buy the package the next day if you don't feel that you'd get your monies worth on day one ...rookie ;) :p

Colo Cruiser Posted March 26, 2014 #154 Share Posted March 26, 2014 I am also wondering this. Half of the first day is gone by the time you get on the ship. Not pro rated if you buy it the second day, so you may as well buy it the first day.

Rare Cruise Junky Posted March 26, 2014 #157 Share Posted March 26, 2014 Cost is the same. Must pay for the entire cruise. Wow that sucks. Celebrity's is so much better. But kudos to finally getting one in place Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
likeadisguise Posted March 26, 2014 #158 Share Posted March 26, 2014 Doesn't include the mini bar, souvenir items, drinks above $10, in-room service, or vending machine items. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk

Rare Cruise Junky Posted March 26, 2014 #160 Share Posted March 26, 2014 Celebrity's only includes drinks up to $8 Princess is $10 Also Gelato and fancy coffee's are also included in the pkg Correct in the price although you can upgrade to the premium package and it will then go to $12. Celebrity anything over $12 you'd pay the difference, Princess you have to pay the whole thing. The main difference though is on Celebrity you can buy the package prorated up to two days left in your cruise Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
msmoger Posted March 26, 2014 #161 Share Posted March 26, 2014 I've never ordered a specialty coffee other than espresso in the main dining room. However, since we plan on getting the new drink package that will change. ;) My question , is there a coffee menu posted or on the counter at the IC? I can't remember if I've seen one. Thanks,

99florida Posted March 27, 2014 #164 Share Posted March 27, 2014 Looks like everything officially changes on Saturday. Do you know if this package will be offered on a three night cruise? Memorial Day weekend on the Caribbean Princess? Would like to give it a try if it's offered.

Iamcruzin Posted March 27, 2014 #166 Share Posted March 27, 2014 I thought I read where passengers were purchasing it on shorter itineraries but the original announcement said it was only available on 7 day itineraries or longer. petlover Posted March 28, 2014 #169 Share Posted March 28, 2014 This was from March 6th: http://www.cruisecritic.com/news/news.cfm?ID=5769 It sounds like our 7 day Alaska cruise won't offer it.:( The package is available on cruises longer than seven days and costs $49 per day, per person,

karena1 Posted March 28, 2014 #173 Share Posted March 28, 2014 I am so happy about this! We have a ton of OBC on our Dec Ruby and I was just going to buy as we go for my beer, but now that we only have to buy one, totally doing the pkg! Hubby barely drinks so would not have been worth it for both of us, but now that we can do one, heck yes!!!!
ready2escape Posted March 29, 2014 #174 Share Posted March 29, 2014 Does Princess have non-alcoholic packages too, similar to Celebrity's? One member of our group doesn't drink as much as the rest of us :p Does anyone know where this info is at on their website - looked but couldn't find it. Rare Shelly97060 Posted March 29, 2014 #175 Share Posted March 29, 2014 We're on the Royal now. Heard from a bartender last night and just confirmed with Passenger Services: Starting with this cruise, if you want to buy the $49/day unlimited drink package, it is NO LONGER REQUIRED that all of the adults in your stateroom buy the package! I know this will make a lot of you very happy! Thanks for the information! We will give this some thought for our upcoming cruise.
