crusincouple8 Posted March 30, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2014 I just need to know if I order a Seagrams 7 & diet 7-up if they actually have that on the getaway, since they have pepsi products only. Any help would be appreciated.
Rare mitsugirly Posted March 31, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2014 According to their website and from what I have seen: Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Sierra Mist, Mt. Dew, Ginger Ale, Tonic water, Club Soda. I do believe there was another thread before that was discussing this and I thought someone mentioned that one of their cruises had diet Sierra Mist. I don't believe there has ever been anyone mention 7 up at all.
LrgPizza Posted March 31, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 31, 2014 The NCL website says "diet lemon lime soda", which I assume is diet sierra mist. I haven't actually been on the ship to look for it yet, though. I am merely holding out home that this is true.
don't-use-real-name Posted March 31, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 31, 2014 7UP is like Coke a whole another entity. Not Pepsi related although in some parts of the USA I have heard that Pepsi does the bottling (canning) of 7UP products. Sierra Mist if it is a Lemon-Lime drink has to be close to Cokes Sprite and 7UP. For those of a cultured taste - close but no cigar ! But since you are mixing it with Seagram's 7 it should past muster. I wonder if the Ginger Ale and Club soda are Canada Dry products -or- a generic brand of sorts ? My friend cruising with us is diabetic (like me) and only drinks 7 & diet 7 and wanted me to ask. She does not like it mixed with anything else, has tried it, but says it does not taste the same. Oh well, guess she is out of luck. Thank you for all replies, I appreciate it.
don't-use-real-name Posted April 1, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 1, 2014 Before boarding see if you can locate a corner grocery store; 7-11; or a CVS/ Walgreens and buy a 12 pack - bring it on with your carry on goods. OR - If you can get by for a few days at the first port stop try again. Would be great if Coke and/or 7UP would have a kiosk/truck at the boarding plank to buy it conveniently - would be a sell out from the number of posters here repeatedly asking questions about beverage choice. Sure wish that NCL would wake the *ell up and take note of customer beverage preferences !
crusincouple8 Posted April 1, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted April 1, 2014 We thought of that already but decided against it because she would have the diet 7-up but how do you get the bartender to make a drink with it....or if she just bought shots would she have to go back to the room to mix it...too many scenarios. I wish NCL would have both but....I thought I remembered when I took my last cruise with them that it was coke products...maybe I was dreaming??? But it has been 6 years since then. Sauer-kraut Posted April 2, 2014 #8 Share Posted April 2, 2014 (edited) don't-use-real-name;42274828 Sure wish that NCL would wake the *ell up and take note of customer beverage preferences ! Pepsi paid a pretty penny to be the concessionaire for soda pop to Norwegian and if its helping keep my fare lower, who cares. At least Norwegian doesn't limit the amount of other products you can carry on as does CCL. Edited April 2, 2014 by Sauer-kraut
dexddd Posted April 2, 2014 #9 Share Posted April 2, 2014 Ginger Ale last week was Schwepps and that is what I recall it being back in 2012.
TrumpyNor Posted April 2, 2014 #10 Share Posted April 2, 2014 Here is a photo from the bar menu in 2012 - my guess is that they offer the same in 2014, all though the prices are a few cents higher now:
