Canyon Ranch Spa Deck

I hear that the Canyon Ranch Spa Deck is "KEY" accessed only. If true great, does that mean less people around the deck?

Depends on how many people go to the spa deck when you do ;)

 

Yes it was key accessed only in Jan some days there was no one there other days the loungers were all taken

We tried to use the spa deck only once on our recent Riviera "Mayan Mystique" itinerary. Loungers were all filled early, no chance at access for us. Like all loungers, you snooze, you lose, I guess.

 

It did look very nice, though.

Concierge cabins and above have the spa facilities as part of their package. It can fill up on at sea days. However, on most cruises during port days it is typically empty.

 

I will not make that last blanket statement about Carribe cruises, in that many people never/rarely visit the port cities and only go for the sun. However, on the vast majority of cruises the statement hold true.

 

Depending upon conditions, it can be quite a bit more windy/breezy up there as compared to the pool deck, so many people still prefer to go there. Also there isn't a bar there!:eek:

On one trip we were in a A1 cabin so had use of it. It was closed on some sea days due to high wind. After getting home and thinking about it we came to the conclusion it sounded better that it was for us!
