CRUZBUDS Posted May 2, 2014 #7 Share Posted May 2, 2014 Could just be a simple asked and answered. Once a line has banned balcony smoking, it's hard to get a good smoking thread going. If you want good action start one on one of the lines that still allow it, like Carnival, HAL or NCL. ;) of course with RCi, there is always the casino to discuss :)

Justmekaren918 Posted May 3, 2014 #15 Share Posted May 3, 2014 No, but I did vap. on the balcony, and you could buy a pak of disposable for the balcony! I really consider the 2 extremely different! Vap! Does not leave that awful caustic smell!
jray2504 Posted May 4, 2014 Author #16 Share Posted May 4, 2014 I am so sorry for asking such a stupid question I am new to cruising and did not want anyone in our group to smoke in an area that was not permited.
champagne123 Posted May 4, 2014 #17 Share Posted May 4, 2014 I am so sorry for asking such a stupid question I am new to cruising and did not want anyone in our group to smoke in an area that was not permited. It is not a stupid question. It is a totally legitimate question...especially for someone that is new. The reason you are getting (made fun of?) is, this has been an ongoing topic for many years RCCL just changed their policy for smoking on balconies in January. For your smoking friends, there are many places designated on the ship that they may go. Just check the paper they leave on your bed and it will give you a list. Have a GREAT cruise. This is a WONDERFUL ship.:o:o:o

beerman2 Posted May 4, 2014 #21 Share Posted May 4, 2014 jray2504 The minute I read your OP , unfortunately figured there would be many sly remarks. It's the nature of the beast. Probably the best reason I can think of WHY you can't smoke on the balconies anymore is because of the smoke drifting to balconies either side of you, and they may/maynot be smokers and be offended by it. I am married to a person who finally gave up smoking 4 years ago, and now she can't stand the smell of it . So to not hijack the thread here are a couple of other things that will get the same responses: 1) smoking 2) chairhogs 3) drink packages 4) tipping And an FYI doing a search on these topics will help eliminate some of the remarks. purplethorn Posted May 4, 2014 #22 Share Posted May 4, 2014 (edited) :D :D :D I think you guys diffused the situation with the humor ... if only that worked in the tipping and attire threads .... lol Edited May 4, 2014 by purplethorn
